Wake County School Scores Showed Improvement! - 07/14/10 01:27 PM
Wake County Public School System Preliminary North Carolina End-of-Grade (EOG) and End-of-Course (EOC) test scores for 2009-10 show improvement in virtually every subgroup of students in the Wake County Public School System, and also show a closing of the achievement gaps between white, African-American, Hispanic and economically disadvantaged students at several grade levels. Additionally, 85 percent of students taking EOC tests passed those exams.

CNN's Money Magazine just released their annual Top 100 Best Places to Live and Cary, NC came in at #23! 
Cary, with an estimated population of 130,000, has one of the lowest crime rates in the nation, AAA bond ratings from Moody's, and an unemployment rate below the country's average. 
The only other North Carolina city to make this year's list was Chapel Hill, ranking at #40, with an estimated population of 54,000.
