But My Agent Is Busy Today - 03/23/12 11:04 AM
Because we have one of the best home searches in New Orleans, we are contacted by a lot of people who have questions about a home for sale they have found on the internet.
Typically, those questions are about additional pictures or information on a home owner association or just to ask about a neighborhood. If someone wants to schedule an appointment, we get pretty excited, because showing and selling? That's what we do. We'll ask a few questions to be sure that the property is a good fit for the persons wants and needs and budget and, because we (6 comments)
Southwood Subdivision, Gretna LA Neighborhood - 03/22/12 09:53 AM
Southwood is not one of those neighborhoods that has a fancy entrance sign. Instead, it quietly sits off of Belle Chasse Highway in Gretna, off of the radar of people who aren't from the West Bank...a little hidden gem of a neighborhood with well kept homes and yards.
The majority of the homes are ranch style single stories, although there are a few 2 story models sprinkled on streets with names like Sugarpine, Cottonwood and Firethorn. Just a few miles from NAS JRB New Orleans, Southwood is a quick commute for military members who can't swing the higher prices of neighboring (0 comments)
When comparing January and February sales from 2011 to 2012, the number of homes being transferred each month dropped in Algiers, Gretna and Marrero. Unincorporated Gretna (including Terrytown) and Harvey both had healthy increases in activity. Foreclosure sales have decreased in Algiers and Belle Chasse, while increasing in the rest of the West Bank communities. This doesn't mean that the number of actual (3 comments)
Hillcrest Subdivision, Marrero LA - 03/13/12 08:10 AM
Hillcrest Subdivision, Marrero LA Hillcrest has a couple of unassuming entries on Barataria Blvd, just south of Lapalco. But don't let the lack of a fancy sign fool you, this is one of the most in demand subdivisions in Marrero. Originally developed in the early 1960s, Hillcrest continued to grow and expand into the late 1990s, so there is a large mix of home styles and ages throughout the neighborhood. From 1960s and 70s ranch homes to newer construction, there's a style to fit almost any need. Hillcrest homes for sale

Barataria Oaks Estates, Marrero LA Neighborhood - 03/12/12 07:19 PM
Barataria Oaks Estates • Marrero LA Neighborhood Barataria Oaks Estates is located off Barataria Blvd. in Marrero, LA, on the West Bank of New Orleans. Just far enough from New Orleans to feel suburban, it's still less than a 30 minute commute to downtown, the French Quarter and most of the city attractions. Situated on the edge of the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park, you'll be just minutes away from the natural beauty that south Louisiana has to offer in the form of bayous, swamps, nature trails and more.

New Orleans Moving Tips: Where To Donate or Recyle When Packing for Your Move - 03/01/12 02:48 PM
One of the most common complaints I hear when people have to start the packing process before moving is "I have so much STUFF". I think that we all have a tendency to accumulate things/stuff/junk in our homes. If you are one of those people that never keeps something just in case, then this is not for you. For the rest of us, getting rid of things can be a chore. Fortunately, there are a couple of really easy ways to dispose of items you no longer want, and certainly don't want to move, that could be useful to (1 comments)
