It's Almost Over... - 12/29/09 09:46 PM

I've held true to my word. I celebrate Christmas for the entire month of December! And I still have 3 more days! LOL. So as I was enjoying our new (4 feet taller) Christmas tree this year, I got inspired to take some photos of the decorations. I hope you enjoy this little slide show of our Christmas tree, and possibly the last bit of Christmas music you'll be able to hear for 2009.

I may get inspired to post one more Christmas-themed post in the next 3 days, but if not...

Getting Ready to "SHIFT"! - 12/29/09 12:27 AM
I was wondering why I kept seeing so many posts about this book!  Now I know, there's another Active Rain contest/promotion happening. And this book is the center focus. Now I'll be honest and say that since I'm late to the party on this one, I have not yet read the book. But anyone in the real estate industry already knows that a major shift has been happening in the minds of real estate buyers and sellers, and in the entire real estate industry. In order to succeed, real estate agents, and all real estate professionals will have to shift as … (8 comments)

YES! I Will Hold Open Houses for My Real Estate Sellers! - 12/27/09 01:24 AM
I recently read a blog post from a REALTOR® (yes, it was a REALTOR®... IE: Member of their local Association of REALTORS® and subscriber of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics... not only a real estate agent) who absolutely refuses to do open houses, no matter what. Now this particular agent was very well educated on the statistics of how buyers find the real estate properties they buy. And many good reasons were given as to why open houses were not productive.
Statistics given, which were obtained from the National Association of REALTORS® were...
Approximately 90% of all real estate buyers now … (11 comments)

Real Estate Buyers and Sellers and ALL of Our Prevailing Attitudes - 12/24/09 09:15 AM
Today I’m going to tell a real estate story. This is a story of a hypothetical real estate transaction, and the parties involved. I chose to tell this story in a manner that is obviously slanted toward one side, but that’s not really the point. It could easily be told from a different angle. Regardless, don’t get overly focused on the story of real estate. It’s about people. It’s about attitudes. It’s about the way people have changed in the last few years. It’s about the kind of person you are, or want to be... or DON’T want to be! Hold … (28 comments)

Wordless Wednesday: Still Celebrating Christmas! LOL - 12/23/09 01:36 AM

Since my last Wordless Wednesaday post for "Anticipating Christmas (again)" was such a hit (he he) I decided to share two more photos from the series of pictures we took that day, in front of our Christmas tree. The first picture is just another silly pose. The second, well... sometimes there are consequences with too much tomfoolery! Doh!

Speechless Sunday in December: The Apple Doesn't Fall Far From the Tree - 12/20/09 10:23 PM
So far for my Christmas photo posts we've had...
Anticipating Christmas =^.^= Oh Christmas Tree Anticipating Christmas (again) Still Celebrating Christmas... He Makes It So Easy And as we were playing with the camera that day, my daughter left me a little something extra to find later. So I'll just call this, "The Apple Doesn't Fall Far From the Tree"

And be sure to read about her "Hooptie" from yesterday's post! HAHA! I live to embarrass my child. Is that a bad thing? C'mon... you MUST read that one! I'm counting on your comments to further embarrass her! ROFL!

Time for Silly Saturday! And since it's still December, it means... Yep! I'm still celebrating Christmas! And sticking with the series of photos taken in front of my Christmas tree (you have no idea what's still to come!), I'll just call this "He makes it so easy!" *sigh*
Don't you feel sorry for him. You do see his "Christmas shirt" don't you?  >.<

Speechless Sunday: Oh Christmas Tree... - 12/14/09 09:30 AM
It's (was) Sunday... again... (but I left this in draft mode) =P  So anyway... I'm really enjoying the month of December. In my opinion, December is Christmas ALL month long =D   And I'm not talking about just the presents. And I'm certainly not talking about shopping! (I hate crowds!) Every year, my goal is to finish all my Christmas shopping before Thanksgiving. (I REALLY hate crowds!) Of course, the most important part of Christmas is Christ. But since I don't have a picture of Him, this week's Speechless Sunday (with words) photo is my own Christmas tree =)  I really like … (8 comments)

Good Family Christmas Movies Online: Lots of Fun and Good Moral Themes - 12/13/09 10:01 PM
I thought this might be a fun post for the month of December; especially in an economy when many people are saving money by dropping their cable or satellite TV.  The absolute, best replacement for TV (you can watch all your same TV shows, and possibly have access to more than you had before, for free!) is found at www.hulu.com. You can register for free, and add your favorite TV shows to your "queue", then you can watch your shows at your own convenience. Most of the time, your subscriptions will show up in your queue the day after they were … (8 comments)

Silly Saturday: Groovy Dancing Girl #4 - 12/12/09 04:00 AM
Okey Dokey. Following up on last week's Silly Saturday post of "Groovy Dancing Girl #3" (and Broker Bryant's post of Groovy Dancing Girl #1), this week's post for Silly Saturday is "Groovy Dancing Girl #4" because.... she rocks! And she even changes it up a little bit. Her movements are more fluid in this video... Very cool. Now get up and dance with her! (Like I did) =D  Enjoy!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Photo: Port Orange Lake-Front Park and Gorgeous Clouds at Sunset - 12/02/09 05:06 PM
For this week's Wordless Wednesday post (with words =P) I wanted to share a photo from a beautiful Port Orange lakefront park with walking/running paths around the lake, and on wooden bridges across the lake. This area is small but peaceful. I've walked this park and paths myself, and can attest to the pleasant atmosphere, and the relaxing sound of the fountain in the lake. But on this particular day, the sky was spectacular!
