Speechless Sunday-Signage Failure - 06/28/10 12:26 AM
I was just leaving a comment on J. Philip Faranda's photo blog for today, and I just had to add my own shot of our personal sign failure. Except in our case, my daughter hung this sign on the inside of my husband's closet door about 10 years ago! Hmmm. Now how is it that I can actually SEE the sign right now?

First of all, two days ago, on the evening of June 25, there was a conference call prayer line with the Family Research Council and the leaders of several 24/7 prayer teams, regarding the Gulf Coast Disaster...    During that same time, the Governors of Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and the Lt. Governor of Florida, declared June 27, "The Gulf Coast Disaster Day of Prayer" and have each issued a proclamation to their respective states.

Last week I wrote a blog post that voiced my concern about the copyright violations that can occur with the pictures and/or photos we take for our real estate listings. In our MLS, there is no copyright protection, so I've begun watermarking my images. But based on your comments, I've discovered that in some areas, the opposite is the case. How Do You Keep Your Real Estate Images Copyright Protected? - 06/17/10 10:18 PM

I'll start this post by stating that I am NOT a professional photographer. But I do go through great pains to get the best images I can for my real estate listings and sellers.
That being said; if your Multiple Listing Service (MLS) is like ours, once an image is uploaded to a listing, you lose your copyright protection of those images (Just think about how many sites pickup our listings to help us sell them). Silly Saturday - "Twig" the Fairy - 06/05/10 03:53 PM
It's been a while since I wrote a Silly Saturday post... although I post a lot of "silly" posts in general...
So anyway, I found this adorable little "fairy" named Twig on Facebook, and I instantly had to play with her little doohicky that let's you get your own "fairy name" =D  And since I have 2 Facebook accounts, I actually got my name for each account. (One account is in my maiden name) Interestingly enough, the first few words for "Lisa" were identical. So there's obviously some sort of system in place for the naming. New Florida Legislation for Home Inspectors - So What's the Big Deal? - 06/05/10 12:28 AM
This morning I received an e-mail from a local, husband-and-wife team of real estate home inspectors, regarding new, Florida legislation for home inspectors. These home inspectors (who have done an excellent job for my buyers on many occasions in the past) have decided to no longer offer home inspection services. (FYI- they have always been priced VERY competitively, and have still done a great job!) Apparently, as of July 1, there are new Florida requirements for real estate home inspectors.
