Welcome to part 2 on  HOW to BEAUTIFY YOUR HOME! Curb appeal counts!
1. Exterior Maintenance
I can't count the times I've had buyers in my car, with an appointment scheduled for them to see a home that perfectly fit their criteria. But when we pulled up in front of the house, they didn't like the way it looked from the street, so they didn't want to … (8 comments)

adams cameron: Finding Hope in a Seemingly Hopeless Real Estate Market - 03/18/09 07:31 PM

A few days ago, John Zolsky wrote a post titled If I Were John Rockefeller... On that post, I left a long comment, asking for an opinion, agent-to-agent, since I knew that both of us had knowledge of the pre-construction condo markets' collapse here in the Daytona Beach area, that occurred after the boom years that lasted through 2005. (Refer to the chart for full real estate sales in each city, or read my original blog titled "Daytona Beach area Real Estate Sales Report for 2000-2008".)
In response to my comment, John replied with a very thoughtful response that indicated … (5 comments)

adams cameron: Buy or Sell Real Estate with Lisa Hill, A Daytona Beach Native - 12/01/08 04:37 PM
Real estate buyers and real estate sellers... If you don't own real estate in the Daytona Beach area, you won't realize how rare it is to find someone who's a native of Volusia County. But I am a real, live Daytona Beach native. And I sell real estate in the same county in which I was born.
So what's the big deal? Well, since I'm a native of this area, real estate sellers can rest confidently in my ability to market and sell their real estate listing. They know that I'm already familiar with their neighborhood and city, and will be … (8 comments)

adams cameron: Is the Real Estate Economy So Bad that People Can't Afford Their Pets? - 11/16/08 03:24 PM
I was shocked when I recently read an article in our local newspaper, indicating that due to the economy, people are being forced to give up their pets. Of all the things I've heard about this horrible economy, this has to be one of the most depressing. I'm going to share something that recently happened with one of our pets. But make sure you read all the way to the bottom for a FREE way, yes I said a FREE way to help the pets that have lost their homes!
Just last week, one of my cats came within hours of … (19 comments)

adams cameron: Sunsets and Real Estate from Daytona Beach, Port Orange, Ponce Inlet & More - 11/03/08 04:14 PM
I love sunsets. As I was reading a blog here on Active Rain, by Eileen Begley, featuring sunsets in her home town, I got the idea to write a blog featuring sunsets in the area where I live and sell real estate. It's actually all of East Volusia County, and even beyond that, but I have a habit of taking photos of sunsets. I have a lot of them! So I thought I'd share them with you =) I should mention that a couple of these photos were taken by a friend of mine. I just couldn't resist using them, since … (3 comments)

adams cameron: UPDATE on "How to Handle Lying, Unethical REALTORS®" - 10/01/08 12:44 AM
Many of you who commented on my recent blog post about my dealings with an unethical real estate agent, had many questions which I attempted to answer by editing the post a couple of times, and by adding a few comments as well. (Sorry it's such a mess now.) As I said in that post, there were problems every single day of that transaction. That listing agent was the epitome of what most REALTORS® do not exemplify! That experience just solidified the reason I'm primarily a listing agent! In the 8 years that I've been a full-time REALTOR®, and the 14 … (16 comments)

adams cameron: No More Buyers Beware. Now it's "Sellers, Be Prepared!" - 09/16/08 08:03 PM
I was recently reading some interesting information about the last seller's market we experienced. The article mentioned a few things I had not previously given much thought. But the one thing that really jumped out at me was the fact that during the fastest and most-drastically peaking seller's market on record, many real estate buyers, upon finding the house they wanted; in their attempt to procure an advantage over other real estate buyers, chose to forego their inspections. They used this as a negotiating point.
Now for those of us who have been in the real estate business a while, we … (6 comments)

adams cameron: How Would You Sell This House? - 09/03/08 04:57 PM
Isn't it amazing that as a REALTOR®, no matter how long you've been in the business, you're constantly encountering new situations in real estate? But there's a good chance that another real estate agent has already experienced a situation that you have not, and vice versa. So this blog post is to ask for advice from other real estate agents who may have already experienced what I did today. Or even if you have not experienced this exact situation, you might have some fabulous ideas and advice. So here's my story and some questions...
Yesterday I got a phone call … (26 comments)

adams cameron: Motivational Video for Real Estate Agents, Buyers & Sellers. Inspiration by Tom Hopkins - 08/03/08 07:40 PM

Since real estate is still slow in many parts of the country, and many REALTORS®, both young and old, are struggling to make ends meet... and sellers may be just as discouraged... motivation may be running low for many people. So as I just wrote and posted the blog for the PHOTO MeMe's Group, (using my lovely daughter as my motivation) as I was embedding an old video I created for her, over a year ago, I also ran across a few other videos that I thought you might enjoy.
I especially thought you all might enjoy this video/slide show, using … (4 comments)

adams cameron: Showing off my beautiful, mature, and just plain fabulous daughter! (A PHOTO MeMe) - 08/03/08 05:32 PM
Yes, I know this is my real estate blog. But being well-rounded is a good thing, right? No matter what your career may be, I hope you have family and friends who make you feel proud. And we'd all love to see photos of your family and friends. Heck, that's why I created the PHOTO MeMe's Group in the first place. But since you're all a bunch of slackers it's taking some time to get rolling with this new group, I guess I'll have to keep writing all the PHOTO MeMe posts myself *dramatic sigh*. So here's a post featuring my … (5 comments)
