culture: How Cool is This? I Wish I Were in New York This Weekend! - 05/22/10 07:59 AM
Check this out. Apparently this is an annual thing. They have a "Dance Parade" right down the middle of Broadway in New York City, every year on the Saturday before Memorial Day.
Watch the video. It explains about all the different cultures being represented, in historical order as the parade progresses. And there's even a little party in the park after the parade, with still more cultures and dancing being represented, and lessons for the public. This would be a great weekend to spend in New York City!

Daytona Beach residents, visitors and those who may be looking to buy real estate here, as long as you're here, why not try something slightly different and off the beaten path? If you're a fan of the arts, or looking for a bit of culture, tomorrow is the last day to see "Ruthless" at the Daytona Playhouse. "Ruthless" is a spoof on Broadway, with lots of plot twists as you watch the story unfold of exactly how far an 8 year old with go to play the lead in the school play!

I guess my blog is starting to look like an on-going series about the merits of Daytona Beach FL. Apparently there are plenty of merits to discuss, since this post is no exception.
Few people are familiar with Daytona Beach's very own musical theater, Seaside Music Theater. Last year, SMT moved to it's new location in the newly constructed News Journal Center for the performing arts. I've attended many fabulous performances at SMT and every one has been a breath-taking experience.
Seaside Music Theater is the only professional music theater in the Southeastern U.S. that combines a full-pit orchestra with their productions. Right … (4 comments)
