Do you realize that the standard real estate contracts most Florida Realtors® use, are changed every couple of years? These changes reflect any legal actions that may have influenced the individual clauses in the contracts since the last release. There are 2 contracts that are primarily used by Realtors® in Florida. These are the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR) contract, and the Florida Association of Realtors/Florida Bar (FAR/BAR) contract. These contracts can only be used by Realtors® or Attorneys. In the Daytona Beach area (Volusia County), the FAR/BAR contract is used at least 95% of the time, and some listing agents

Yesterday I posted a blog about the problem with Florida's property taxes and the Save Our Homes Act. I just received an e-mail from our local Association of Realtors (Daytona Beach area), and the Florida Association of Realtors (FAR). Asking us to go to FAR's Call-to-Action System and make our voices heard. One of the new proposed amendments to reduce our property taxes is the Florida Super Homestead Exemption, which would phase out the Save Our Homes Act. Florida Realtors are being asked to go to the Florida Association of Realtor's Call-to-Action system and request relief for all non-homesteaded and commercial properties. At
