This weekend seems to be the weekend for Christmas Parades in East Volusia County. I already blogged about the Port Orange Christmas Parade which will take place on Sunday. The Christmas Parade is from 4:00 p.m. til 6:00 p.m. It will begin on Flagler Ave and end on Canal Street. And the Boat Parade will begin after dark, shortly after the "land" parade ;-) Holly Hill: This year's Christmas Parade

new smyrna beach: Why Should You Buy Real Estate in New Smyrna Beach? - 12/08/08 12:57 AM
If you're one of my regular blog readers, you know that many times, when providing you with information about a particular city in which you might like to buy real estate, rather than present you with just facts and figures, or straight real estate data about that city (although I sometimes do that too, since some of you like those posts as well) I often like to present you with fun things to do in that area. That's what this post will be; for the city of New Smyrna Beach. If you currently live in New Smyrna Beach FL and are

new smyrna beach: Buy or Sell Real Estate with Lisa Hill, A Daytona Beach Native - 12/02/08 12:37 AM
Real estate buyers and real estate sellers... If you don't own real estate in the Daytona Beach area, you won't realize how rare it is to find someone who's a native of Volusia County. But I am a real, live Daytona Beach native. And I sell real estate in the same county in which I was born. So what's the big deal? Well, since I'm a native of this area, real estate sellers can rest confidently in my ability to market and sell their real estate listing. They know that I'm already familiar with their neighborhood and city, and will be

new smyrna beach: Sunsets and Real Estate from Daytona Beach, Port Orange, Ponce Inlet & More - 11/04/08 12:14 AM
I love sunsets. As I was reading a blog here on Active Rain, by Eileen Begley, featuring sunsets in her home town, I got the idea to write a blog featuring sunsets in the area where I live and sell real estate. It's actually all of East Volusia County, and even beyond that, but I have a habit of taking photos of sunsets. I have a lot of them! So I thought I'd share them with you =) I should mention that a couple of these photos were taken by a friend of mine. I just couldn't resist using them, since

new smyrna beach: Real Estate Tools for the Techie or the Not So Techie... The Sony Mylo - 11/01/08 10:37 PM
For all you real estate tech geeks, you might like this. But then, you probably already know about the Sony Mylo®. From what I can see, it looks like the perfect text messaging gadget. The way the keypad is laid out, it looks very easy to use, and keep in contact with your real estate sellers and buyers, and other REALTORS® who want to show your listings. And if it does what it claims it can do, I would be fully on board with the social networking peeps. (I'm only about 50% on board right now... chalk it up to a

new smyrna beach: Volusia County Real Estate Update: 2nd Quarter 2008 - 07/03/08 01:15 AM

new smyrna beach: Port Orange FL - Butterfly and Hummingbird Gardening - 06/16/08 10:01 PM
If you live in Port Orange, or any of the surrounding cities, you might find this to be a fascinating, educational seminar. It's being hosted by Full Moon Natives. Full Moon Natives is a well-stocked plant, flower and tree nursery. But the best part about Full Moon Natives is their knowledge of native plant species and how to plant your garden with the native plants that will help conserve our precious water resources. If you're not familiar with Florida's water resources or lack thereof, read my previous post about the pollution in the Floridan Aquifer, which is our primary source of

new smyrna beach: Real Estate Video for Beautiful 3 bed, 2 bath pool home in Central Florida - 06/13/08 06:15 AM
Most of you know that I create full video tours for my real estate listings if at all possible, and have been doing so for about two years now. I've never been a fan of virtual tours because of the distortion factor, and could never understand why REALTORS® weren't just video taping their listings. Two years ago, the only place to host the videos was on You Tube (hardly the most professional platform). But now, we have a plethora of choices of professional real estate video hosting sites. I have to admit, this particular video should have been done weeks ago.

new smyrna beach: Beautiful 3/2/2 for sale in Edgewater FL-Priced to Sell! - 05/29/08 04:04 AM
If you're looking to buy a house in the Daytona Beach area, but aren't happy with all the Home Owner's Associations (HOA's) and restrictions, then Edgewater is the place for you. Most houses in Edgewater are on large lots with plenty of room for your boat, RV, or whatever you'd like to do. This house at 2110 Sabal Palm Drive in Edgewater is immaculate and priced to sell! If you're not familiar with Edgewater, it's just south of the Daytona Beach area (just past New Smyrna Beach). This house is absolutely beautiful. But if it's not the one
