OK, so this post is not about real estate, since I'm still enjoying the photo (and picture) blogs, and I do tend to get stuck on my favorite image subject... my fabulous daughter! (Biased? What makes you think that?)
On Sunday I posted a picture of my daughter "fighting" a big, bad dinosaur. *Gasp!* There was much deliberation over who would win. Well, according to this shot, I think my daughter showed the dino who's boss! he he. She took care of one and moved right on to the next one! (lol)
Umm... Notice the sign in the foreground? *sigh*

Welcome back! (to me-lol) Ahhh... Been having a nice, non-blogging break... *yawn* (he he) Still not in a big blogging mood (not ready to jump back in the saddle yet) so I figured, what better way to post something simple, than to feature one of my favorite subjects (my daughter) being her usual, goofy, self. (I still say I have NO idea where she gets this personality!)

No, of course not. It's just a Snowy Egret :-D My brother took this photo. And I think he did a great job on this one (except for the date stamp), so I decided to share it. (This is from the bro who took those crazy weather shots over the ocean!) But this one's much more peaceful. And this little guy doesn't seem to mind if his feathers are getting ruffled.

Today is not one of my usual photo days, but a friend of mine who frequently travels to Chicago insisted on e-mailing me this photo today. He said I HAD to see it. I warned him that if I liked it, he knew where it would end up. He didn't care. Sooo.... ENJOY! Isn't this amazing!?

I was just reading (and viewing) a photo blog post by Mike Mitchell titled "Sailing". As I commented on his post, it reminded me of the days when I met my husband. He had sold a lucrative business in Michigan, bought a sailboat (a Hudson Force 50) and taken a 2 year sabbatical. Since he didn't have much else to do, he was taking my aerobics class all the time. I was just leaving a comment on J. Philip Faranda's photo blog for today, and I just had to add my own shot of our personal sign failure. Except in our case, my daughter hung this sign on the inside of my husband's closet door about 10 years ago! Hmmm. Now how is it that I can actually SEE the sign right now?

This is another beautiful photo by my friend Nick. I've been waiting to show this one. I think it's another astounding capture, which seems to be an amazing talent of Nick's. It also make me stop and think about how often beauty is mixed with danger. We all know that bees and other stinging or biting nuisances can be found among flowers. But there are also the dangers of beautiful roses and painful thorns; or to the unsuspecting person, the possibility of accidentally coming into contact with "Stinging Nettles" or "Poison Ivy/Oak/Sumac". This little bird is standing on the corner of a body of rapid flowing water, with a little waterfall right beside him. But he's not the least bit concerned. This little guy is just taking in the view, with what appears to be, little-to-no concern.

Here's another happy photo by nickrun. And this little fellow looks so happy. His chest is all puffed up and he/she is singing their little heart out. This photo just make me feel happy. I like to imagine how it must feel, to be perched and singing, without a care in the world. Such a feeling of joy and freedom.

So some of you have read my posts where I pick on my younger, twin brothers Christian and Christopher (aka Squid and Squidley... he he) Anyway, both of my brothers, in their spare time, can usually be found (or not found) fishing somewhere. They're usually on the "Sunglow Pier" in Daytona Beach Shores/Wilbur-by-the-Sea.
