Being a native of the Daytona Beach and Port Orange area, it's easy for me to forget how much fun can be had, in such a close proximity to my home in Port Orange. Just a 5 minute drive from my home, is not only the beautiful Atlantic Ocean, but some great restaurants and public docks, underneath the Dunlawton bridge.

For quite some time now, Wal Mart has been seeking approval from our City Council, to construct a Supercenter at the corner of Nova Rd. and Madeline Ave.
On the surface, to some people, this may seem like a great idea; except for the fact that there are already two Wal Mart Supercenters, within 3 miles from this location. Not to mention the fact that Nova Rd. was just widened a couple of years ago, to accommodate the traffic that had by far, out-paced what that road could handle.
