real estate agent: Does Your "Professional" Photo Look Like A Facebook Picture? - 08/18/10 03:57 PM
In the last few days, as I've been perusing and commenting on different blogger's posts, I happened to stop in my tracks, as I noticed far too many images that looked like they'd been taken by the same person, while holding the camera at arm's length. They looked more like a picture I would have on my non-business Facebook page. Is it just me, or do these pictures actually lower the level of professionalism on our blogs? Shouldn't a potential client see a quality photo that says "I'm a professional"? Now I admit that I'm a very visual person. Half the (78 comments)
real estate agent: Live Life to the Fullest. Don't Let Fear Hold You Back! - 06/25/10 05:24 AM
A little while ago I was reading a post by Jeff Dowler titled "Make Mistakes, and Make Mistakes Often". I highly recommend you read his post! (You may have to scroll down to his post since it's for members only. My link is to his blog.) As I contemplated, and commented on Jeff's post, I decided to expound on it with this post. And I made this decision because of a personal decision and commitment to which I've held myself for as long as I can remember. In my comment to Jeff, I stated... "It's amazing how many lessons we learn (23 comments)

real estate agent: Ponce Inlet Real Estate Listings - Houses, Condos, Townhouses for Sale - 03/20/10 12:38 AM
I've decided to get a head-start on my first quarter real estate reports for Volusia County (City of Ponce Inlet for this report). So although it's not quite the end of the quarter, I'm providing city-by-city real estate data, up to March 19, 2010. But since I'm a bit early, I'm going to start with just the listing information in this post. I'll post the sales data after we've officially ended the first quarter. To get us started, we're focusing on the active real estate listings in the city of Ponce Inlet. I've summarized the data in the chart below. And (0 comments)
real estate agent: South Daytona Real Estate Listings and Sales 2000-2009 Market Reports - 02/02/10 08:39 PM
South Daytona real estate sellers: I believe you'll appreciate this compilation of real estate data, which can help you see the big picture when it comes to selling your South Daytona house, condo, townhouse, vacant land, or any type of investment property. It's not just about how much your neighbors are asking for their house. It's not even about the last 6 months of comparable real estate sales. In recent months, many lenders have wanted to see only 3 months of recent sales data. And while sales have been improving, the improvement has been in small increments, and many of the (3 comments)

real estate agent: Getting Ready to "SHIFT"! - 12/29/09 12:27 AM
I was wondering why I kept seeing so many posts about this book! Now I know, there's another Active Rain contest/promotion happening. And this book is the center focus. Now I'll be honest and say that since I'm late to the party on this one, I have not yet read the book. But anyone in the real estate industry already knows that a major shift has been happening in the minds of real estate buyers and sellers, and in the entire real estate industry. In order to succeed, real estate agents, and all real estate professionals will have to shift as (8 comments)

real estate agent: Property Management Ripoffs? What is Your Experience/Opinion? - 10/14/09 04:38 PM
This morning I received a call from a real estate buyer who wants to buy a condo in Daytona Beach Shores or Ponce Inlet. He had found my web site and wanted to get setup on our automated MLS program, that will send him listings via e-mail. It's a fantastic feature in the the Daytona Beach area MLS! As I was speaking with this real estate investor, we were discussing his options, his criteria, his past real estate experiences, etc... normal real estate chit-chat. Then he mentioned something that got my attention. As we were talking, we were discussing how we (2 comments)
real estate agent: Found in Beautiful Daytona Beach. I Love These! - 10/08/09 04:16 AM
In Daytona Beach, we don't have a lot of Willow Trees. But I LOVE them! Ever since I decided to actually research them (I'll give reasons in a future post) I've had a fascination for them. And then I found these in the most unexpected spot, right in the middle of Daytona Beach. So of course I had to take tons of pictures! The Willow Trees, and the words I wrote on this image have significance for me, that will be lost on most of you. But I thought you'd at least enjoy the photo =)

real estate agent: Volusia County Fair Video. So Much To Do in Volusia County, A Great Place to Live! - 09/17/09 12:52 AM
If you live in the Daytona Beach area, there's a good chance that once a year you make the trek to the Volusia County Fairgrounds in DeLand. I just missed the Wordless Wednesday deadline (again) by just a few minutes, but I got an idea after reading Liz Moras' blog post called Wordless Wednesday-Hind Sight~ . Now that is a hilarious post! And it reminded me about my family's trip to the Volusia County Fair, when I decided to video tape the animals.... and the rides! Woo Hoo! So enjoy =)

real estate agent: Silly Saturdays: My Way of Taking Life A Little Bit Easier - 09/13/09 01:33 AM
It's that time again... it's Silly Saturday! =D Of course, I don't necessarily limit my silliness to Saturdays only! IMHO, fun should be happen whenever possible. Laughing releases endorphines, which in turn, relieve stres. Now that is a win-win situation! So for this Saturday, I'm sharing from my (very) old video archives, a video of my pets at play =^.^= Enjoy! (I apologize for the trial software wording that's embedded on this video. This was my test video before I bought the software.)

real estate agent: Buying a House? What is the Walking Score of your home and neighborhood? Or is this a Ridiculous Ruse? - 09/07/09 08:29 PM
As I was posting the price reduction to all my real estate blogs (using several is great for pushing your web site up the search engines!), for my real estate listing: Daytona Beach house for sale, within walking distance to the beach... as I got to my personal, Trulia real estate blog, I stumbled across a link that questioned the "walkability of the neighborhood". Well I can't say I've ever seen a web site like that before, so my curiosity was piqued. But not only am I a REALTOR®, I'm also a Daytona Beach native, so I already know the statistics (36 comments)
real estate agent: Speechless Sunday: Featuring a Special Guest; My Real Estate Assistant! - 09/06/09 06:26 PM
It's Speechless Sunday again. But this week I'm changing it up a little bit. Instead of a photo, I'm using a short little video. This is my real estate assistant. Well, actually it's only one of them. But both of my assistants are excellent! They go above and beyond my expectations; They lift my spirits when I'm down, and offer encouragement in their own way. So I know you'll enjoy this video of one of them. Enjoy! (Make sure you have your volume on!)
Would you like to borrow one of my assistants? Maybe I'll show you what my other (13 comments)
