theater: Good News for your Daytona Beach Seaside Music Theater withdrawals - 05/17/08 01:59 AM
A few days ago I had to report some bad news about Daytona Beach's Seaside Music Theater. It turns out that SMT had to cancel their entire summer season, after the Daytona Beach News Journal who has been the grand sponsor of the Theater for over 30 years, withdrew their support.
Well, it's not live theater, but Cinematique Films, at The Book Store, located at 410 S. Nova Rd. in Ormond Beach, is playing The Diving Bell and The Butterfly until June 20. Those of you who regularly read my blog may have become accustomed to my periodic posts about the fantastic presentations at Seaside Music Theater. I've been waiting with anticipation, for the time when I could announce the presentation of "Les Miserables" that was scheduled for June.

For those of you in the Daytona Beach area who enjoy theater, and would enjoy an inexpensive way to spend an afternoon or evening, you should familiarize yourself with the Daytona Playhouse.
This month; May 9-18, 2008 The Daytona Playhouse presents "The Tale of the Allergist's Wife". I read the description on the Playhouse web site and it looks like a lively and fun presentation =)
