trulia: How Would You Answer This Question? Did the REALTORĀ® Lie? Is That Even the Issue? - 06/08/09 07:17 AM
If you're familiar with the Trulia real estate site, you may know that REALTORS® can setup their accounts to e-mail them with any questions that have been posted in their areas they work. I have Trulia setup to e-mail me when questions have been posted about real estate in Volusia county, (although I only work in East Volusia county IE: the Daytona Beach area).
This evening while I was blogging, a question popped up in my e-mail from a home owner in West Volusia county; specifically, Deltona. I'm posting this here for anyone to comment on either my blog, or on … (74 comments)

trulia: Trulia Real Estate Questions: (part 2) Is This the New Floor Call.... NO! - 03/21/09 04:59 PM

This blog post is addressed to both real estate professionals, and real estate consumers. I hope it answers questions, brings enlightenment, and causes everyone to really think about the direction the real estate industry is taking, and how our current actions are directing that future.
Yesterday I blogged about the huge difference in the types of questions being asked on Trulia now, as opposed to those that were asked in the past, and I included examples in that post. To be honest, I'm suspicious of these new questions, although I have given some partial answers. But as REALTORS®, I believe … (5 comments)

trulia: Trulia Real Estate Questions: Is This the New Floor Call? - 03/20/09 02:00 AM
I have a question about the Trulia real estate questions, for other REALTORSĀ® and real estate professionals.
First of all, many of us have been answering real estate questions on Trulia for a long time. And the questions have primarily been for the benefit of real estate buyers and sellers who didn't understand the real estate process. But lately, the questions have been different.
A little while ago, I read a post by Richard Weisser, a REALTORĀ® in Georgia, who wrote a rant post, questioning How is it possible that real estate buyers still do not understand agency? Unfortunately, he marked … (10 comments)

trulia: Here we go again. Fair Housing setups? - 03/12/08 10:09 PM
Last week, I posted to this blog, a question I found on Trulia that in my opinion, was a violation of the Federal Fair Housing Law. The post was titled Violating the Federal Fair Housing Laws. Several people disagreed. Well, once again, I have found a question on Trulia that is a Fair Housing violation. And I doubt anyone will disagree with me on this one!
Neighborhood Assistance Please Looking for a family/children oriented neighborhood with good schools in seminole county. My daughter is going into 3rd grade and I want her to have that "friends in the neighborhood" opportunity. Perhaps Casselberry, … (12 comments)

trulia: Violating the Federal Fair Housing Laws - 02/27/08 05:23 PM
REALTORS, REAL ESTATE AGENTS, BUYERS AND SELLERS BEWARE!
We all know that we cannot violate the Fair Housing Laws. Anyone who tries, must be missing a few brain cells. And I ran across something just a few minutes ago that is prompting this post.
I was on www.Trulia.com and ran across a question from a "Home Buyer" that said the following...
I live in Illinois. Want to buy 2b/2bath condo in Miami Beach walking distance to Jewish area (sinagogue), the same time want to be close to the ocean. Any places like that? I want to use this condo as a rental property … (8 comments)

trulia: HELP! Answers Please!?! - 11/03/07 02:58 PM
This post is just for me to ask a couple of questions. I'd like some answers or advice from those of you who have experience in these areas.
1. I have a profile setup on Trulia, and sometimes answer questions. And I've provided my web site, to be searched for my current real estate listings.
But I've never paid for their Featured Listings program. The price is affordable, but is the return worth it? I also noticed the "Advertising for Agents" section, but I haven't looked into that. Does anyone have an opinion on either of these Trulia programs?
2. I … (12 comments)
