While there has been much media hype on how bleak the housing market is, the Lakes Region of New Hampshire has certain market segments that have been stronger than in past years. For instance, in Meredith, the water front market, especially the new construction lake homes market, has seen considerable growth in the $2-3 million dollar price range.

1/1/05  -     1/1/06 Meredith $2-3 Million Price Range Solds - 2 Avg. Sold Price $2,100,000
1/1/06 - 11/30/07 Meredith $2-3 Million Price Range Solds - 8 Avg. Sold Price $2,509,375

This data shows that the number of homes in this upper price range has actually increased from the prior year and the selling price has also increased by approximately $400,000.
