ATTENTION WHALE WATCHERS The Southern Oregon Coast is a great location if you are excited about watching for whales. The spring Whale Watching Week for 2008 is March 22nd - March 29th. The migrations are spread out for a few weeks on either side of "watch week." This is not the only time you can see the whales. I recently had the opportunity to spend a day of adventure on the Rogue River out of Gold Beach Oregon. Gold Beach is a 30 minute drive north of Brookings and is where you can JET BOAT on the Rogue River. What fun!! You have several different rides to select from, but we decided to go for the longest ride of 104 miles round trip on JERRY'S ROGUE JETS. New listings also increased 10.6%. Year-to-Date Trends Comparing January-April 2007 to January-April 2006, closed sales were up 7.5%. Further, pending sales increased 9.8%. The number of new listings also rose a slight 1.7%. Appreciation Comparing the 12 months ending with April 2007 to the 12 immediately prior, average sale price fell 5.4% ($314,000 v. $332,000). Using the same formula we can see that the median sale price also decreased 8% ($275,000 v. $299,000).
