In the last month I have had a few sellers that have taken their Logan Utah homes off the market. They decided they just wanted to wait until spring time, and didn't want their homes to become stale on the market. Some of these seller's homes were on the market for some time, and I couldn't talk them into reducing their prices. The market had spoken, their homes were overpriced. I was asked today by one of my sellers if they should call the utility company and cancel there utilities. I informed them if they cancel their utilities, the buyer will have to pay a reconnection fee, and they won't be to happy. So, the answer is no. What you should do when selling a home, is call your utility provider, and inform them you are selling your home. As you know, the housing market is in uncharted waters, and the current is unpredictable. The only thing you know, is the price you paid, and the money you owe on your home.
