Yes, we are in troubled financial times based on our own selfish greed.  The country as a whole needs to get back on kilter to figure out that it is the work of our hands and our wise choices that create wealth, and that debt is a thief!  (Indebted servitude is B-A-D...whether that is to a credit card or you are a share cropper!) 
We really need to redefine what 'rich' means, and reprogram the Nation to understand that, eventually, ALL debt has a consequence.  I simply don't think that the people of this great nation remember that DEBT is a … (3 comments)

Oh, don't the happy 20-somethings (buried in debt) look blissful?In my quest to become the capitalist sensai to my 23 year old nephew I have engaged him in more than one discussion about the power of debt to undermine his future.  (Yeah, sure, you can make the payment, but what is it REALLY COSTING you?)
Ultimately, I would like to see my nephew in a home some day (if purchased wisely, this is one of the only 'good debts' we can have.).  So, I have taken it on myself to make sure he can get there some day.
