Personal mottos inspire us to take action, to overcome obstacles and live up to our highest selves … to tap into the best that is within us and bring it to the world.
Mottos are all around us, though without questions the most memorable have come to us courtesy of major corporations, such as Nike’s “Just Do It” and Apple’s “Think Different”.
A personal motto is a little different, while some may consider it a branding tool, ultimately the purpose of a personal motto is to inspire us to take action, to overcome obstacles and keep working toward our goals, persevering even in the face of overwhelming opposition.

Let's see...the financial markets are crumbling, the real estate market continues to get pummled, hurricanes are destroying the south (uhhhh, anyone remember that bit of news in the past few weeks?), Freddie and Fanny have been shipped off to a land far, far away...bad news abounds! Yes, we are in troubled financial times based on our own selfish greed. The country as a whole needs to get back on kilter to figure out that it is the work of our hands and our wise choices that create wealth, and that debt is a thief! (Indebted servitude is B-A-D...whether that is to a credit card or you are a share cropper!)

Within the past month or so the Washington State Legislature passed a consumer protection act called the "Distressed Property Act", it will become active on June 12th, 2008.

This is a portion of a response to a Short Sale question sent into the Washington Association of Realtors Legal Hotline sent out in a weekly update I get called "Friday Facts".
It offers another oft overlooked perspective on the importance regarding pricing/buying Short Sales at, or as close as possible to, market value.
