Can't wait for the great RE apps on the iPhone.  Although this is not a typical iPhone app, I have been using this iPhone friendly site. As I am frequently on the road, I need mobile access to all my favorite RE blogs. Check it out here: http://www.irealtyblogs.com/iphone/preview/

When you are on your iPhone, check it out at http://www.irealtyblogs.com. The page will display on any mobile device, but the iPhone is why I made it. It contains all the web's great RE blogs including Inman, Zillow, Trulia, Geek Estate, Mike's Corner, and many more.

The page allows you to share on Twitter, Digg, delicious, and your iPhone contacts.

Today at the DEMO conference, Sproutbuilder.com launched a WYSIWYG widget creator.  This slick tool allowed me to create a professional real estate listing widget in under 10 minutes.  I was able to add links, text descriptions, a video, and also include a map...all for my sample listing.  I was able to create widgets of all shapes and sizes.  All of this for FREE!  After creating my real estate widget, it was easy to copy and paste code into sites like Facebook, Wordpress, and many other blogs & social networks.  Send me an email if you need help with creating your real estate widget...but it honestly gets no easier than this.

Check out how to create a professional real estate widget here: http://livepads1.com/2008/01/30/407/

As we are quickly approaching 400 real estate websites we have covered here at LivePads1.com, we have been receiving a lot of feedback from you regarding a better way to categorize our entries.  We cover a lot of terrific start-ups that can really help enhance real estate professional's websites, but are often lost deep within the blog.  Soon you will be able to find sites relating to "Listing Service", "Home Values", or "Social Networks", etc.  This will quicly allow you to navigate to exactly what you are looking for.  We will be doing this on a ‘rolling basis', so please be patient.  Entries into the blog will continue business as usual, so keep submitting your sites.

The main goal of our site is to help promote new and emerging real estate technologies to real estate professionals.  If you are a real estate agent looking to submit your listings website, please don't as we will not post.  We're not here to promote personal listings sites, we're here to help you enhance your personal listings site.

Thanks everyone and best of luck to you with your real estate business!

I am very excited and honored to be named to International Listings Top 50 Real Estate Marketing Bloggers list (http://www.intlistings.com/articles/2007/top-50-real-estate-marketing-bloggers/). The LivePads Blog has been doing very well as well as our LivePads Real Estate Facebook Application.  We have been very busy working on our new Open Social application so you will be able to add your listings to sites such as LinkedIn, MySpace, Orkut, Ning, and many other social networks.  Look for an announcement on that shorty.

We are also very busy developing the LivePads Android application, an application that will soon run on Google's wireless mobile platform.  More details on that to come shortly.

Again, thank you all on Active Rain in making LivePads very successful and enjoy the list from International Listings; there are tons of great blogs listed.

A widget is a chunk of code that can be embedded into any web page.  Of course you have to be the owner of the web page and cannot add widgets to any other sites.  What the widget does is feed fresh content, images, videos, etc. to your site.  Widgets are not static and will always provide dynamic, fresh content for your site from a 3rd party.  Widgetbox.com has a ton of real estate related widgets on their site today: http://www.widgetbox.com/tag/real+estate

You can add widgets from sites like YouTube for your home tours, flikr for static home pictures, add mortgage calculators, add breaking news around real estate, etc.  There is no maintenance for widgets once they are loaded to your site.

I'll walk you through an example of how easy it is to add a widget to your site or blog.  We'll use vflyer for the example.
1. Click http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/vflyer
2. Begin to customize your widget with the name, dimensions, colors.
3. Click "Get Widget"
4. If you would like to add the widget to your site, click "Get Widget Code".  Simply copy the code form either snippet (I'd recommend "Flash embed code".  If you would like to add the widget to something other your site, say a blog or social network, select the option you want and follow the steps.
5. Open up your site and locate where you would like to place the code you copied from the previous step.
6. Simply paste the code into your site and publish.

I have to admit that I am really enjoying my time here is AR.  People in the community are very welcoming.  I have to give a special "thanks" to Missy Caulk for referring me to AR.  http://activerain.com/blogs/missycaulk

Since Missy wrote about us in her blog, I have received quite a few emails asking how to utilize Facebook to sell homes.  If anyone ever has any questions on the LivePads application on Facebook, please let me know and I'll work with you one-on-one.  I can be reached at dennis@livepads.com.

With that said, I'd like to provide everyone in AR clear directions on how to use Facebook to sell your properties.

1. Click here and add the application to your account: http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=5319246444&b&ref=pd
2. Once you have the application added, locate LivePads in your left navigation.
3. Click that link and you will be taken to the LivePads application.
4. On the home page, click "Sell A House".
5. Enter home details on the screen and click "submit".
6. Next screen will ask to upload a maximum of 3 photos of the house (1 picture here is req'd)
7. Click "Submit" after you locate the photo.
8. Click "Finish" on the final screen.
9. Your house in now located in you "Saved List" from the top navigation.  To add to you profile, click the "Add To Profile" box.  Also, you have the option to send this listing to all your friends on Facebook, also ask them to host the house on their profile.
10. After you click "Add To Profile" you will see " Profile Updated Successfully".
11. Now go check out to your profile page and your listing is there for the entire world to see.

Again, please send me an email if you need any assistance.  Enjoy everyone and best of luck to you.
