Gulf Coast BP Top Kill Blowout Gets A Full Dose Of Imodium | Drilling Mud Fluid - 05/28/10 07:31 AM
The gulf coast undersea well got a good dose of "drillers Imodium"or Top Kill. Having lived in Acadania Louisiana we loved the off shore rigs as a great place to fish. Since having moved to the Rocky Mountains, I still keep in touch with my rough neck buddies in LA. They all are telling me that the drilling mud is the Imodium and the heavy concrete will be the coffin for this crude oil leak. If they can force the "crete" down this morning it should seal the fate on this gusher. Let's hope - I'll sure miss those shrimp.

We found numerous leaks in the aft section. These were noted back to the AMF in SLC.

Work starts next week on the Historic Salt Lake City County Building with blower door testing and infrared thermal imaging. The infrared energy audit will be focusing on the 115 year old windows.

 The State of Utah gets an energy audit - starting at the State Capitol tomorrow. Information from the audit will most likely reveal the need for new windows. Unable to alter the outer windows will necessitate the use of the new thermal windows from ProActiveEnergyConcepts these are the best windows for older historic state and municipal building retrofitting. Information gathered from the infrared energy audit will determine the extent of any government stimulus funding for the project.
