Information gathered from the energy audit will be used to determine energy efficiency, retrofitting and weatherization projects using funds from the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants (EECBG). Retrofitting projects will include air infiltration, energy efficient windows and doors, insulation levels, weather-stripping and caulking, and electric base loads.

Using its EECBG formula funding to retrofit and improve the energy efficiency of a number of it's municipal buildings that will result in substantial reduction in energy usage.

utah basement: Infrared Camera Finds Critical Problem in Vacant Utah Home - 12/18/09 12:08 PM
While performing a thermal infrared scan of the interior of a vacant home in Draper, Utah an area of wet carpet and padding was discoverd in the corner of the basement family room. The walls and ceiling were bone dry, yet the triangular area of the floor was wet. On the other side of the wall is a closet and the main water shut off valve. The valve and all of the piping were bone dry. The problem: The main water supply line (copper) was cracked where it entered through the concrete basement foundation wall.
