US Wins Gold in 4 Man Bobsled --1st Time Since 1948 - 02/27/10 09:49 PM
US Wins Gold in four Man Bobsled just minutes ago.  From Vancouver, Steve Holcomb and the Night Train win the four man bobsled competition.  This is the first time the United States has won the 4 man Bobsled event since 1948 at St. Moritz.  The bobsled track in Vancouver is at Whistler and is touted to be the fastest track ever in Olympic history.  Bob Costas says that Holcomb and the Night Train won the competition because of their fast start times.

Today at approximately 12:30pm the Sam Houston Trail Riders passed by my office on FM 249 (also known as Tomball Parkway) here in Tomball. 

I ran out to the street and started taking pictures as soon as I saw a horse go by my window.

I knew some people from the wagon, they started hooping and hollerin' when they saw me on the side of the street.  The lady riding the chestnut horse is Robbie Powell.  She works at Tomball College.  See the little maroon banners in the background?  They are the Tomball College banners for Lone Star College.

Below is a meat case in the store.  You might have seen Chappell Hill Sausage in the grocery store before.  Well, here is where it comes from.  My husband's favorite is the Pepper Bacon.

Petrified Forest National Park -- Jan 2010.  These are pictures from my last Christmas Vacation.  I went to National Parks in several southwest states. 

I was not expecting to find snow in this part of the country, but it helps the petrified wood stand out even better.  The picture below is a close up of a piece of petrified wood.

Sweetheart Breakfast: Chick-fil-A Tomball - 02/09/10 08:15 PM
 Come visit the Chick-fil-A this February 13th, 2010 for a special valentines breakfast. 

The Chick-fil-A has always done such a marvelous job of having parties just about every Friday night for families (clowns, pirates, battle of the bands and other things).  Now they are having a Sweetheart Breakfast on Saturday February 13th from 8am to 10am.  As you can see from the poster, they will be serving people at tables and giving a flower to each lady.  A valentine gift will be given for each registration.  They decorated the tables with lots of balloons, flowers and curling ribbon.  It should be very … (3 comments)

Tee Shirt from Zilker Botanical Gardens, in Austin, Texas.  This beautiful T-shirt was purchased in late 2009 when I went to Austin for the weekend.

The colors are just stunning on the Tee Shirt.  Whoever designed it did a good job of putting together the colors and shapes in a visually interesting pattern. 

There was no question in my mind when I saw this shirt that it was coming home with me.  All the bird names are legible on the actual shirt.

The Spectacular Woodlands Mall -- Feb 2010 - 02/06/10 07:29 PM
The Beautiful Woodlands Mall -- February 6th 2010.  This is one of the few malls in the country where the parking lots are full year round on the weekends.  I waited over ten minutes for a parking spot and I had to drive behind the people walking to their car to find a spot.
The bridge below is example of the attention to detail and beauty even in a bridge.  They have beautiful artwork and buildings, a waterway and great stores and restaurants.   
 
You can take this boat around the waterway for a little cruise.

The Cheesecake Factory, The Woodlands Mall -- February 6th, 2010.   I used to work near the Galleria in Houston and was able to go the Cheesecake Factory about once a month or so, but now I do not live near one, so when my showing in Lake Chateau Woods was over, and I was 8/10 of a mile away from a Cheesecake Factory in The Woodlands, I headed that way.
When I did work near the Galleria and was able to walk to the Cheesecake Factory there I would relish getting the following dish or dishes.  These "favorite" dishes of mine are:

Nature Pictures from Grimes County -- Jan 31st, 2010 - 02/05/10 06:38 PM
On January 31, 2010 I went to Iola Texas to show a house.  I saw these cows on the way back home from Iola Texas where I had been showing a house in King Oaks Subdivision.  These cows had the most beautiful silky coats that looked so soft.  I don't remember ever seeing so many young calves this early in the year.

Come to Magnolia Junior High School for the Annual Lion's Club pancake supper and auction.  My broker Chris Hardee will be serving the bacon and my fellow Century 21 Hardee-Team Realty agent Bryant Pollard will be cooking the bacon.  The supper begins at 5:00pm and goes until 8:00pm, eat all you can.  Raffle tickets are being sold for a plasma TV.  There will also be a Silent Auction.
