24 Hours of Saginaw is Under Way! 

Come join us for presentations, trivia contests, videos, slideshows and lots of trains.  Come to the depot in Saginaw now.  As of midnight we had 72 people that checked in. 

The first 60 people got bags filled with a free BNSF calendar and a train whistle.  I also won a hat, a koozie and a sweat shirt before midnight.  Come see some trains with us.

Saginaw is located between Dallas and Fort Worth Texas.  We will be here until at least 7pm tonight.

Happy 75th Birthday Golden Gate Bridge!  I have enjoyed traveling to California and San Francisco and driving (and walking) across your suspension bridge numerous times.  You have such a unique and recognizable color and appearance.  I refer to you as "my bridge", but I bet a lot of other people do too.  Your park is awesome as well, stretching well inland on the San Francisco side.  Your light house at Point Reyes is very interesting and you even had a section of the Golden Gate National park with cows grazing on it.

Beautiful purple tulips were one of my favorites.

These orange and yellow tulips had fuzzy edges on their petals. 

One of the many flower beds with a mix of flowers.  These flowers almost remind me of a bunch of easter eggs.

There was on section of the gardens devoted to pansies.

Love Trains? Come to The Saginaw Depot for 24 Hours of Trains 5/25/12 - 05/24/12 07:06 AM
Train Lovers Unite at 24 Hours at Saginaw Train Depot.  Come watch trains, talk about trains and view slide shows about trains and other things.  This is the 7th year for the "24 Hours at Saginaw".  Last year we had between 50 and 100 people during the 24 hour period.  We saw about 47 trains during the time span.  Every hour on the hour there are slide show presentations or videos.  There are also trivia contests.  Come join the fun.  It starts Friday 5/25/12 at 7pm.

Don't forget to have a great breakfast or lunch at an Einstein's Bagel's.  Outstanding food and awesome service.  The last time I was at this one (on Hwy 35) the manager made a specialty item for me and served it to me hot out of the oven.  Yumm!!

Last Saturday at this time I was driving to Austin to see Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.  I worked part of the day and then met my husband at the house so we could take a trip to Austin to see Tom Petty.  The concert was really good.  Tom said this was the last leg of the US tour.  He played some oldies from his first and second albums.
