Accident on Tomball Parkway near High Meadow Ranch on 7/19/11 at approximately 3pm. This stretch of pavement was very slippery. We are way behind on rain here in this part of Texas. This brief rain storm brought all the oil to the surface of the street and made it very treacherous.
Respondents to the emergency call were two sheriffs , one constable , three ambulances , one fire engine and about seven or eight wreckers . It took about 30 - 45 minutes to move the victims and cars and clean up the street.

The Astros lost to the Pirates last night 4 to 0, but I still had a great time.
On Fridays after the game they open the retractable roof and shoot off fireworks . These pictures turned out to look more like art than pictures of regular firework displays. This looks like a blue flame in the middle.

It was so cute. Her name is Tigger. She belongs to the daughter of my in-house lender.

Happy Bastille Day !! July 14th 2011, the French people celebrated the anniversary of Bastille Day . Bastille Day is said to have spraked the French Revolution , and symbolizes the birth of modern France. Bastille Day was July 14th, 1789. This years celebration is dedicated to all the soldiers killed in operations. The colors are amazing on these trees. The park service has put in some great hiking trails. You can choose from easy to strenuous levels of hiking trails.

After being so dry here in the Houston area, it rained for a full day last week. This cute little flower popped up on Sunday. It appears to be symmetrically perfect.
I think this is called a balloon flower. I took the picture on a weekend that I was taking pictures of trains in Texas.
