***Architecturally Interesting -- Fort Worth, Texas***

I don't know what this is, but it reminds me of an entrance to a subway station.  It is very unusual.

This building is most unique, it looks like blocks are pushed out in select places.

This is the Chesapeak Energy Building.

Here are some more pictures of the top of the building and from another angle.

This building is near the train station.  The balconies look like they are floating on the side of the building.

Look at the far right of the picture, the window configuration looks … (2 comments)

Putt-Putt Fun Center  has some great summer specials.  Their address and phone number are:

***Trains and Nature Pictures From This Weekend***By Your Houston Real Estate Professional
These pictures were taken on the way to the 24 Hour At The Depot Event at Saginaw, Texas.

This gold and blue CSX train was in Hearne, Texas.

This purple flower reminds me of a balloon flower.  I love the Texas star shape.

Great steam train beside the depot in Temple Texas.

After i took some pictures of a train I noticed this great cactus.

I love the composition of this photo.  I may have taken it during the 24 Hours at The Depot Event … (1 comments)

There were presentations every hour on the hour, as well as door prizes every hour.  I won a t-shirt, a poster and a hat.

These posters were out front of the depot.  Rail fans … (3 comments)

***Beautiful Flowers in Houston & Tomball***From Your Houston Real Estate Professional

I was experimenting with taking close ups of flowers.  I think this one worked out just fine.

Beautiful flower outside a branch of Chase Bank on FM 249.

Lovely red flowers from Chick-fil-A.

Cute vincas.  They are one of the few flowers that can survive the drought that we are having here in the Houston and Tomball area.

This group of flowers is in front of HEB at Vintage Park in Houston on Louetta at FM 249.  The Gerbera Daisys are very cheery.

This is the Thurston Lava Tube.  My sister and I went there in 2000.  It was really cool.  It is very tall, maybe 14 feet tall.

These are the owners of the My Island B&B on The Big Island.

Guide to Outdoor Maintenance - Texas
If you live in Texas, prevent problems and preserve the value of your property with proactive outdoor maintenance.  This will take about 3 - 5 days to inspect and repair, and cost an estimated $15 - $300.

Keep your swimming pool safe and clean by monitoring the chemistry of the water often and keeping debris out of the pool. Image: Association of Pool & Spa Professionals

Crunch on raw vegetables - chewing on crunchy foods puts out endorphins and slashes stress levels by up to 20 percent. Lower your voice -- talking softly reduces stress levels within two minutes. Open a window for 10 minutes twice daily cuts levels of carbon dioxide and ozone gases. Eat 1 oz … (4 comments)

Nature Pictures -- Horses and Flowers That Caught My Eye At Real Estate Listings I Have Shown In May, 2011.  This horse was near a mobile home I was showing last night on Stillwater.

This picture is blurry because the horse was a long way away and I was trying to use a 16X zoom to capture the picture.  Its the best of the four pictures I took of this horse.

This showing lasted 2 1/2 hours, and I could only check my phone so many times.  I was grateful for the horses as they took up some … (5 comments)

My Husband Bought Me Dinner At Carino's on Friday Night -- Although He Doesn't Know It Yet!!

He went out of town to take pictures of trains all weekend in Oklahoma, while I stayed here and sold houses and rented houses.  So while he is away he gets to buy me dinner.

Friday night I went to Carino's, which was near where I was showing a lease property.  Carino's always has such nice landscaping, similar to this.

I love the round topiary in the right hand corner.  Another signature thing for Carino's is the tile roof.

***Carnival in Tomball, TX****

For two more weeks, this carnival will be in Tomball.  This Ferris wheel is visible for miles up and down FM 249 (Tomball Parkway).

This kiddie ride looks cute.

What little boy doesn't like motorcycles?

Do the bumper cars bring back memories from childhood?

A jeep driving ride.  (Kind of reminds me of Jurassic Park minus the dinosaurs.)

They have lots of flashing lights to attract business.

This fun slide used to be know as a super slide when I was a kid.

This looks like an interesting ride.  Hope … (1 comments)

Pictures from Hawaii -- May 2011.  My brother Bob is in Hawaii on vacation, and I asked him to send me some pictures with descriptions.  He vacations there about avery three years or so.

This was from the B&B that my brother stays at every time he vacations in Hawaii.  The rate is $85 per night.  West Maui is in the distance.

Sunrise at Haleakala Maui.  The sun was peeking out behind some clouds.  An awe inspiring view.  My oldest sister and I went to Haleakala in June of 2000.  It took a long time to drive to the … (6 comments)

liz flint realtor: Cute Car -- It Winks! From Your Tomball Real Estate Professional - 05/18/11 06:05 PM
I was at lunch at Schlotzsky's yesterday and couldn't resist taking a picture of this darling little smart car in the parking lot.

The eyelashes are just adorable.  Someone was really creative to imagine and follow through with the invention of the eyelashes.  The symbol on the front looks like a mercedes, is it???

I'm glad she has her god fish to help protect her.  I would not want to get into an accident in one of these cars.  This is an adorable little car, the eyelashes only enhance the "cuteness".

Here is a matching blue smart car.

I highly recommend Troy Hill, he is honest, dependable and very reasonable.  He has done painting,  cabinet work, replaced a double paned window, done lock repairs, as well as other odd jobs on at least  4 of my listings over the last couple of years.

liz flint realtor: "Insidious" A Movie Review By Your Houston Real Estate Professional - 05/17/11 01:36 PM
"Insidious" A Movie Review by Your Houston Real Estate Professional.  This is one of the scariest movies I have ever seen in my life.  I was expecting a movie about supernatural events.  This movie combines ideas I've seen in the series The Twilight Zone with ideas you would associate Ghost Hunters.  While the movie doesn't have any big stars that I recognized, it was absolutely riveting.

The only bad thing was the screaming teenagers in the theater.  I was still thinking about this movie the next day.  I would not take small children to this movie.

liz flint realtor: Mercer Arboretum and Botanic Gardens, 5/6/11 Daylilies and Other Flowers - 05/16/11 01:05 PM

These pictures were taken May 6th, 2011 at Mercer Arboretum & Botanic Gardens.

Here are some lovely hydrangeas.  The poms look nearly perfect.

The daylilies have their own section of the Arboretum.

Here is a pretty purple flower, it is a Crinum.

This daylily looks happy with its orange petals and yellow throat.

This yellow asian lily reminds me of a ripe banana with its yellow color and brown speckles.  Its unusual with the curled up petals.

I think I would describe this color as a deep crimson.

Do you know what kind of plant/flower … (2 comments)

Food As Art.  I took these pictures at the local grocery store last night.

This Graduation cake was the first to catch my eye.   After that I really started looking for the pieces of art in the food.

My husband loves these little edible chocolate cups filled with mousse.  Sometimes at stores you will have a choice of dark chocolate or milk chocolate cups.

Another favorite at my house is the cheesecake covered with fruit.  My brother usually brings one to my house when he stays with me when he visits from Hawaii.

This cute little dessert is … (8 comments)

liz flint realtor: Bye-Bye BBQ Hut! - 05/12/11 01:36 PM

This morning I had a call from a buyer wanting to see a house in Plantersville.  I called and set up the appointment for 9am.  On the way over to the showing I saw this BBQ Hut in Magnolia being moved.  The city has been trying to do away with all the businesses right next to the railroad tracks in Magnolia.

The BBQ Hut was the last to be moved.  I think it had been there for over 20 years.

After I showed the buyer the house in Plantersville, I went over to check on one of my listings.  … (0 comments)
