We might not have spotted this hawk if it wasn't for the crow that was repeatedly dive bombing the steeple. Clearly I need a telephoto lens but trust me - he's there - sitting on the cross on the church steeple in West Medford, keeping watch over the neighborhood - or dinner. Hawks have made a comeback in Boston and Cambridge and nearby towns. No matter how often I spot one it's always a treat.
