What If I Get Falsely Accused? - 05/31/09 03:42 PM
What if I get Falsely Accused? If a real estate broker-in-charge agrees to hold your real estate license, he/she is assuming total responsibility for your real estate behavior. There are serious implications about the Broker-in-charge's responsibility for his/her associated licensees' misrepresentation in the form of false promises or any statement in any advertising. As we all know, anyone can be accused of wrong doings at any time, regardless of whether it is true or not. Do you want a broker-in-charge who is knowledgeable and supportive of his/her agents if they have been falsely accused?  Of course, you do.  A broker-in-charge who … (14 comments)

Is That All There Is? - 05/30/09 01:13 PM
Is that all there is? Have you ever had a definite specific goal in mind?  You worked so hard and diligently to satisfy that goal. The magic day finally arrives --- you have accomplished that difficult goal --- you have the feeling of accomplishment -- excitement --- feeling of "I did it", but.........  you also have the feeling of "is that all there is?" --sort of an empty feeling. A few years ago, I realized this and also realized that success is a journey --- it not the accomplishment of one goal. Life is a journey --- yes, there must be … (20 comments)

Great Reputation or What?

If one does not have a great reputation, what do they have?

If one is not honest, it doesn't take long for the "public" to discover this.  And you are doomed as far as business is concerned.

If one is not trustworthy, it doesn't take long for the "public" to discover this.  And you are doomed as far as business is concerned.

A Little Information About Contracts - 05/09/09 02:51 PM
A Little Information about Contracts In SC, in order for a contract to be enforceable, it must be in writing.  Oral contracts are no good. Also, all changes on an offer has to be initialed and dated in order to be sure your contract is enforceable. It is amazing how many "contracts" don't have the proper initials and/or dates.  Agents tend not to think this is important, but it is critical. A contract is not considered "ratified" until it has been delivered to all parties. The elements of a legal contract are: 1) Offer 2) Acceptance 3) Consideration 4) Competent Parties … (4 comments)
