The statement real estate agents are not professional is sure to bring me criticism. But, hey, I'm a big girl, I can take it.
1) If you are a buyer's agent for a first time home buyer and you don't ever check with the buyer's lender - not even once, you are not a professional

Misrepresentation Continuing on discussing SC Real Estate License Law Misrepresentation -- A false representation of a material fact or failure to disclose a known property or transaction defect which would cause the purchaser or seller to suffer damages. Misrepresentations can be made by statements, actions, in-actions and silence. Real estate practitioners must always present a true picture when involved in a real estate transaction. Teaching License Law I know this sounds like a boring subject, but I find it very interesting. Yesterday, I spent 4 hours teaching "Top Ten Ways to Be Disciplined" which is a continuing education course for SC Real Estate Commission. Actually, SC now mandates that every licensed real estate agent take this same course. When you first hear the title, many assume that it is an ethics course. Most real estate agents want someone to hand them a lead --- certainly this does not apply to all agents.
