First Photos With My New Camera - I Think I Love It! - 01/31/10 11:43 PM
Well a few weeks ago while walking in the snow, I dropped my camera!  With the lens out it jammed and I never could get it working again.  How many times does that happen?  It's so easy to drop those little digital camera and the warranties don't protect you from that.  So I googled Panasonic to see if there was anything I could fiddle with to get it working again - but nothing worked. :-(    Major withdrawal!                        
So I read reviews, and researched and research for something on my limited budget and finally decided on a FujiFilm S1500.

Well the excitement is growing in Chilliwack as preparations continue for the arrival of the Olympic Flame. The Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay will arrive in Chilliwack on February 7, 2010.
"Chilliwack is abuzz with anticipation of the arrival of the Olympic Flame and the celebration that will follow," said Mayor Sharon Gaetz. "Our residents always support community events and we are expecting a large crowd to cheer on the torch bearers and join the celebration."

Don't Show Your Home to Strangers Without an Appointment - 01/28/10 12:16 PM
This is such a good reminder.  If you're selling your home definitely make sure that you only do it by "appointment" only!  And if you're selling Your home For Sale By Owner - this is a Caution - and another good reason why you might want to List with a Realtor!

So Does your House Need Some Botox?
January is probably not a bad time to give your home a facelift.  Frankly it doesn't always take that much to make a noticeable change for the better.
We're not talking about a major renovation here.  Some freshening up might just do the trick.
* re-arrange furniture - I often like to mix it up and start shuffling   ie.  Swap the sofa for the chesterfield; 
* add a curtain or valance - or remove them all!
* make new arrangements with the artwork; do a black and white photo collage on one wall;

Don't know how to help with the devastation that has happened in Haiti?

A couple of days after Christmas we had our Second snowfall of the Season.  I thought I'd go for my first walk in my new neighborhood and pick up the mail at the same time........So off I went - revelling in the squeek squeek of my footsteps - the mesmerizing floating dance of the snowflakes and sidestepping the skidding and sliding of the cars without snowtires trying to figure out how to drive in the snow.

Although the Chilliwack Real Estate Market isn't exactly the same as that of Vancouver - the patterns are similar and there is often a domino effect happening between the two markets!
