So you are convinced it is a Good Idea to Buy a Home That Was a Former Grow Op? Are you considering buying a property that was a former Marijuana grow operation or meth lab? I'm far from an expert on the subject, although Chilliwack has more than its fair share of former Grow-Op Homes. Perhaps speaking to a Home Inspector might provide some critical information, however I can speak on it from the perspective of a Realtor.

Chilliwack's Garrison Crossing is a beautiful blend of refurbished and replica vintage homes located minutes from the Vedder River and Cultus Lake. It's always been a favorite of mine and with our recent snowfall I got to experience its beauty as a Winter Wonderland! So I took a stroll through the streets, the snow was freshly fallen - with no footsteps yet - it truly was a winter wonderland! I couldn't resist putting together a series of Garrison Winter photos.

This summer I made my third trip to Torontoand second one to visit my daughter Rachel...after doing our tour of New York and New England and the Maritimes I spent a week wandering the neighbourhoods and villages of Toronto. One of my favorites is Roncesvalles........it reminds me of my home country Croatia. Probably because its surrounded by a multitude of Eastern European (mostly Polish) bakeries, butchers, delis,perogies and cabbage rolls.....mmmm mmm..I guess thats why its sometimes called "Little Poland. .I stocked up on a variety of Poppyseed cakes for my brother (his fav) and smoked sausages for my Dad and pastries and … (16 comments)

While visiting Toronto this summer I stayed in a B & B in High Park and next to a cool area called "The Junction." In the mid-1850's most of the area was part of the Keele family Carlton Race Course, home of the first Queen's Plate. For a long time it was known as an industrial neighbourhood, where the railways cross; it was also the home to the Ontario Stockyards and many meat packing companies.
