 I have to say that writing these various posts about the little communities, sites and delightful scenic stops has made me fall in love with Chilliwack all over again.  This year I didn't go away for a summer vacation.......but I have been checking out the 'green grass' on my side of the fence..........and I have to tell you it is looking pretty green!

Ok.....so after months and months of watching the American primaries and events leading up to their election.....here we go...........jumping on the Election bandwagon.
October  14 appears to be the likely date.  No two year process for us...heck we can rally our troops in less the 6 weeks..........mind boggling no?
Steven Harper  (our Prime Minister - ummm....not President),  who's Conservative party won the election in January of 2006 seems to think an election is the only was to fix what he sees as a dysfunctional Parliament.
                                               
I wonder if all dysfunctional relationships could be repaired as easily?  Husband and wife … (6 comments)

On Tuesday, my daughter Rachel and I went back to my Alma Mater, Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, B.C.  Rachel had just made the decision that that was her first choice for College next year, so we packed a lunch and went to explore!
It was my first time back after I'd graduated 27 year ago, with a  Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science...  27 years ago I had plans of being a lawyer...........I specialized in International Relations and Comparative Studies for Soviet and Eastern European Politics........In those days Simon Fraser was a hotbed of political activity and such an … (17 comments)
