mothers day: Mother's Day - Just a Mom? - 05/09/10 11:49 PM

I read this and found it quite moving! Hope all you mothers out there had a fabulous Mother's Day! JUST A MOM?
A woman, renewing her driver's license at the County Clerk 's office, Was asked by the woman recorder to state her occupation.
She hesitated, uncertain how to classify herself.
'What I mean is, ' explained the recorder, 'do you have a job or are you just a ...?'
'Of course I have a job,' snapped the woman.
'I'm a Mom.'

'We don't list 'Mom' as an occupation, 'housewife' covers it,' Said the recorder emphatically.

mothers day: The Older I Get The More Beautiful My Mother Becomes - My Mother's Day Tribute - 05/10/09 01:53 PM

We haven't always been close - its been a bit of a roller coaster ride at times but one thing I can say - the older I get the More Beautiful my Mother Becomes. We are closer now then we've ever been - and I have so much appreciation and a better understanding of the person she is - and what she has contributed to my life.
