realtor: Halifax, Nova Scotia - Soaking up the Sea Air - 11/09/10 05:17 PM
Renowned for its steep streets, stunning harbour, and the famous Citadel, Halifax, Nova Scotia's capital has one of the world's largest natural harbours and an amazing Seaport Boardwalk.
Halifax is also famous for it's historic Titanic burial site, the final resting place of many of the passengers who lost their lives on the Titanic; Halifax played an important role in the Titanic disaster in helping with the rescue attempts and by taking in victim's families.
We spent half a day wandering the streets of this lovely historic seaport and the other half visiting the iconic Peggy's Cove.

realtor: Quebec City - Chateau Frontenac - 11/07/10 09:12 PM
The Grande Finale of my trip this summer and final stop was the incredibly charming ville of la Belle Provence Quebec, Quebec City.....and a stay at the absolutely enchanting Hotel Frontenac!  The Frenchmen were charming, the food, 'mwah!' and every where you looked - was breath taking!

The Château Frontenac, is one of a series of Chateau style hotels built for the Canadian Pacific Railway company at the end of the 19th and the start  of the 20th century. The railway company sought to encourage luxury tourism and bring wealthy travellers to its trains.  Without a doubt it's one … (6 comments)

realtor: St. Andrews by the Sea - New Brunswick - 11/07/10 08:48 PM
Saint Andrews, New Brunswick  or St. Andrews By-the-Sea as it's more commonly called is a little seaside Town filled with charming colonial homes; (some of them barged to the area from Maine at the end of the Revolutionary War) many of them listed under the New Brunswick and Canadian Registry of Historic Places.
We had lunch at the historic  Castle-By-the-Sea - The Fairmont Algonquin Hotel - overlookingPassamaquoddy Bay; had a tour, listened to ghost stories, and saw the room that Lady Di and Prince Charles stayed in - while visiting.  Although we saw it when the tide was out - the nearby Bay … (3 comments)

realtor: Are You A Mensch Realtor? - 04/09/08 08:10 PM
Are You a Mensch Realtor?

According to Leo Rosten, in his book "The Joys of Yiddish", a " Mensch" is someone you admire and want to emulate.   Someone of noble character. Someone to 'look up to'...

Really, the key to being a Mensch is totally about 'character'....
It's also 'nothing less' then someone who has a sense of what is 'right and wrong, someone who is responsible, someone who is ethical. Oh, and theres this sometimes overlooked characteristic.......a Mensch is someone with Integrity!
