Let's T it up! I'm in the middle of a nice break from my day job. 3 days of vacation gets me 9 consecutive days out of the office. No alarm clocks needed! That "extra" time gives us the opportunity to get some other things done, such as getting our bees ready for winter. Tuesday afternoon was spent treating them for varroa mites (standard preventive dosing), putting in their sugar candyboards to give them extra food for the winter, wrapping the hives with an insulating blanket and installing a box in each hive packed with wood chips to absorb any extra condensation. Paying It Forward: Helping Thanksgiving Be More Thankful One of the things I like about my day job is the community focus. It's NOT just about making surgical devices, but also about making a positive impact on the community and the world. United Way is heavily promoted, we may only have about 1200 employees, but we're consistently top 5 in Cincinnati area corporate giving, and always #1 in community projects performed.
