cary: Cary Apex Raleigh North Carolina buyers are not looking for a cave! - 01/18/13 02:14 PM
It's been a busy month here in the Cary Apex Raleigh area of North Carolina. I've been showing buyers quite a few houses lately. Even though we live in the South, January can still be a gloomy time of the year. And when it's raining out houses can look dark and uninviting inside. Don't make buyers feel like they're entering a cave! If you're selling your home it's always a good idea to OPEN the blinds and curtains, and turn on the lights. The buyers do not want to feel like they're entering a cave! The extra few cents that it (1 comments)

cary: Looking for a Townhouse in Cary North Carolina? - 07/05/10 03:59 PM
The First Time Homebuyers Tax Credit may be expired, but there are still plenty of affordable homes in the Cary Apex Raleigh area of North Carolina. I've recently been showing several buyers- from first time home owners to relocation buyers to people wishing to downsize, some lovely townhomes in Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, and Raleigh.
As you can see from the chart above, Cary currently has 236 townhomes listed for sale, priced from a low of $76,900 to the high end home listed at $925,000. For the first time home homeowner or investor, Cary has 76 homes priced below (0 comments)
cary: Luxury Living in the Raleigh Cary Apex North Carolina Area - 05/17/10 08:20 PM
Luxury Living in the Raleigh Cary Apex North Carolina Area Here in the Wake County area of North Carolina we have a good share of homes defined as "Luxury Living". In our area luxury homes are defined as homes priced over $500,000. But how are the luxury homes selling right now? Well, let's put it this way, it's a great time to be a buyer! While the market has less homes for sale than the 1st quarter of 2009, there is still a 28 month supply of homes over $500,000 for sale in the Triangle area. The Good News- showings increased from (3 comments)
cary: Carolina Hurricanes Fundraiser- my night of hobnobbing with the Rich & Famous - 03/16/10 01:01 PM
One thing I love about being a Realtor is that you never know what the day or the weekend will bring. On Saturday morning I thought I'd have all weekend to clean the house and work on the yard. But by Saturday evening I was writing a Offer to Purchase for a lovely lady in Cary until after 8pm. Upon waking up on Sunday, I thought I would busy myself with a little cleaning while I was waiting for the sellers reply to the offer. Then, out of the blue, one of my clients/ friends call me to invite me to a "formal" event (5 comments)
cary: Foreclosure Homes in Cary North Carolina - 01/27/10 11:48 AM
Everyone's looking for a bargain these days, and here in Cary, North Carolina buyers are no exception. Fortunately, or maybe unfortunately for the bargain hunters, because we didn't have the huge percentage of appreciation that was felt in New York, California, and Florida a few years ago, we also now aren't feeling a big depreciation either. These facts tell the story that we don't have a huge supply of foreclosures in the Triangle area of North Carolina, but we do have them!! Right now in Cary, there are 14 homes listed as either foreclosures or in the foreclosure process. These Foreclosed (1 comments)
Driven through the charming older neighborhoods of Cary and wondered if you could afford one of those homes? Maybe you think that you can't afford to live in Cary, consistently ranked as one of America's "safest' cities? Yet, you still want to live in an active vibrant growing city (population of Cary- 137,483) that lives like a small town.
Now, have you been wanting to own a home and take advantage of the First Time Home Buyer's credit before it expires, but don't know where to start? (3 comments)
cary: Special Financing on over 100 New Homes in the Raleigh area! - 11/23/09 04:24 PM
Special Financing on over 100 New Homes in the Raleigh area! Here's a deal too good not to pass the news on to my buyers, sellers, clients, people I know, people I hope to know, and anyone who's been thinking about a new home. One of the lenders that I work with at Capital Bank called me to let me know about some homes that Capital Bank has arranged special financing for. Although some of the homes are foreclosures, most of these homes are BRAND NEW Builder spec homes that need to be sold. Here's the situation: Because of the economic (1 comments)
cary: Cary North Carolina Summer Market Report and Statistics - 09/08/09 01:31 PM
The Labor Day holiday is over and the kids are back to school, so it's time to see how the housing market faired this summer here in Cary North Carolina. These numbers were provided by the Triangle Multiple Listing Service.
While the number of homes for sale and under contract held pretty steady for the past three months, the number of homes sold (closed) in August went down drastically. Hopefully the number of homes that went under contract in August will result in more closed sales for September.
The Good News for home values is that the average (3 comments)
cary: Monday Musing- How do you answer "Where are you from?" - 08/03/09 02:49 PM
I had posted a picture a few weeks ago on my blog showing a beach and making it a game- where was this taken? I had several comments guessing North Carolina, because that's "where I'm from." The last person who used that quote "that's where I'm from" got me thinking- where am I really from? How do people answer that nowadays? Do you say "You're From" where you were born? Where you grew up? Where you spent many years as an adult? Or do you answer that "You're From" where you live now?
cary: IN THE INITIAL INTERVIEW FOR AN REALTOR...WHO'S SCREENING WHO? - 04/17/09 04:59 PM
Looking to buy a new home? Need to sell your present house? Think that all realtors are the same? Maybe you'll get a "better deal" if you should just call the name on the sign? Well, all realtors are not the same! As with any profession, your realtor and you need to be a "good fit" in order to help you find the right home or work with you to sell your home. When you call me, we'll talk and get a feel for each other. If I can help you, and you like the information that I give you, then let's work (4 comments)
In a follow up to my post March coming in like a lion in Apex on March 3, this is North Carolina on March 31, going out like a lamb deer.. We have a beautiful warm sunny day. The tree are just starting to bloom. And to make it even more perfect, I was visited by my deer family. There are actually 4 deer here, but 2 were lying down while these 2 stood guard about 30 feet from my back door where I was standing. I talk to them very softly and they'll just stand there and listen. My daughter (8 comments)

Right now in this Buyer's market , sellers need to know the value of staging their home. The pictures on the MLS and Internet are what attracts a buyer to even view your home. Notice the difference here as done by a professional home stager in California. If you're looking to sell your home, we can help! Make sure you hire a realtor that knows the value of staging your home.

No, it's not one of those big chain stores that sell coffee and atmosphere.
It's not a cozy little hole in the wall place in the trendy college area of town.
It's not one of those places where someone is singing & playing the guitar for atmosphere as in "Friends" Where am I talking about? The Thrift Store, of course In every size town there are usually at least a few thrift stores. In Raleigh, Cary & Apex, North Carolina, we have (25 comments)

We've seen the news and weather for those of you living in the North. Two big snow storms in the last week with blizzards, high winds, and lots of snow.
As a former New Yorker I loved the snow too--- at first! But once Christmas was over, I couldn't wait for spring. Driving in the blowing snow, shoveling the driveway, and running the furnace constantly wears a little thin after a while! Here in the Wake county, Raleigh area of North Carolina we enjoy a very moderate climate. Some years we may have one snow storm, but it (1 comments)
