lake arrowhead: Paddleboats on Mission Bay & Lake Arrowhead - 06/10/10 08:23 AM

The Bahia Belle is a 19th century paddleboat that cruises across Mission Bay from the Bahia Resort and the Catamaran Resort. If you are staying at either resort, the ride is free and if not, the ride is $10 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. June the Bahia Belle cruises Wednesday thru Saturday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for family hour and then at 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. for the cocktail cruise. July and August the Bahia Belle cruises seven days a week from July 1st thru Labor Day.

lake arrowhead: Lake Arrowhead Getaway - 05/31/10 11:56 AM

Lake Arrowhead is one of our favorite destinations for a long weekend and on Thursday we headed to the mountains for some family time. Leaving La Jolla Shores behind we headed up to an elevation of 5,200 feet and found snow still on the ground! After unpacking at the cabin we headed over to have an early dinner at the Boathouse in Lake Arrowhead Village. While taking a walk along the path by the lake the fog started rolling in and my children thought it made a great back drop for a night of scary movies at our lakeside retreat!
