ARE YOU READY FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO BE YOUR LANDLORD? - 08/30/11 12:23 AM
ARE YOU READY FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO BE YOUR LANDLORD?   Our government has lost its mind.  Derek Kravitz of Associated Press (AP) in an article entitled "Government might turn foreclosures into rentals."  This has got to be the biggest fiasco I have ever seen.  So now that they own all these properties, they have come up with the bright idea of renting them.  Don't take my word for it, here is an excerpt from the article"   "Converting the homes into rentals may reduce “credit losses and help stabilize neighborhoods and home values,” said Edward DeMarco, "acting director of the Federal Housing Finance … (20 comments)

Business Cards must be 'Signed' by the agent at showings??????? - 08/29/11 10:38 PM
Dan Edward Phillips Broker/Owner, Eureka has informed us of a new RULE in his Association where Showing Agents are Required to leave a Business Card with a Signature whenever they show a property.  This rule in my opinion demonstrates a lack of understanding on the part of those writing the rules.  In this day and age when identity theft runs rampant why would you require someone to leave their signature? Now I understand that there are some who do not invest in technology, and that's ok even so, they should not be required to leave their signature.  Please stop by Dan's … (5 comments)

New $600.00 dollar car from Volkswagen, it's for real. - 08/28/11 10:38 PM
Looks great! Could be a lot of fun driving.  I am not sure that I want to give my luxury for this.  At this price though, they seem set on bankrupting the US Auto Manufacturers. I am totally against that.  Like with most other products they will dump them here and eventually drive our Auto Manufacturers out of Business...I am totally opposed to this.  If our government has to put 1000% Tariff on these Cars, then so be it

Buyer Representation Agreement, A Buyer's Best Interest - 08/28/11 10:15 PM
A Buyer-Broker Agreement proteects both the Buyer and Realtors.  In New Mexico where there isn't an agreement until it is in writing, I find it hard to think that Realtors would do business with a buyer without a BBA.  Kymberly Wright brought this issue to the forefront to shed light on what's going on in today's market.

Journal Photographer to Receive Apology from State Police!
How many times have you seen this kind of headline?  "State Police hold Journal Photographer at Gunpoint."  It is a fact of life and one hopes it never happens.  But it is more common than people realize.  I have lived in Albuquerque for over 15 years; have been pulled over by the police at least 4 times, and without fail, it is always an uncomfortable situation.
