Overall Decline in Distressed Properties Sales
The Albuquerque Real Estate market has seen a decline in distressed properties Sales for the month of November. When compared to June 2011 this is a 28.2% decline...at the same time that the Average Sale Price of Distressed Properties declined from $154,000 to $139,000.
All three key indicators, Number of Distressed (Short Sale and REO) Homes for Sale, the Number of Pending Sales, and the Number of Closings saw double-digit declines when compared to June 2011.

November 2011
The Albuquerque Real Estate Market continues to decline in the month of November as key indicators reflect. The evidence can be seen if we look at the inventory of non-distressed detached homes. In addition, Total Closed Sales and Pended Sales all showed decline when compared to the data from last month and six months ago.
As the table above shows, closed sales for the month of November was only 241 compared to 310 for October and 371 for June.

The current winter storm blanketed the entire state of New Mexico. From Raton to Roswell, Los Alamos to Las Cruces, and all points between...nobody is spared from the fury of this storm. As it carves its path through the state it is leaving a blanket of heavy, wet snow, the kind that sticks to the ground and causes havoc on the interstate highways.

According to the Associated Press as reported on KOB TV 4,
"The National Weather Service in Albuquerque says a major wintry storm is headed toward the state. Blizzard-like conditions are possible in the northeastern plains and along the Interstate 25 corridor beginning late Sunday, with the heaviest activity expected Monday."

The University of New Mexico Lobos Men Basketball team defeated the USC TROJANS, 44-41, on Saturday in Los Angeles, California. Maybe they were lucky...It's about Time! Frankly, it doesn't bother me...a win is a win. 2011 NMAA 5A FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP HIGHLIGHTS
Last Weekend Football Fans Across the State of New Mexico were treated to some great football action. All of the games were outstanding, but I believe the 5A Championship Showdown between the Cleveland High and Mayfield High was the game of the week and will be the focus of this post.
I picked Mayfield to win, and they performed very well but they came up short. This is not to take away anything from Cleveland's Spectacular Performance.

Extremely cold temperatures, high winds and snow, left a blanket of snow and ice on roadways across the state. This would normally create a big dilemma for school officials in the past, but it appears as if schools officials are taking no chances this time. Albuquerque Public Schools and Rio Rancho Public Schools have both cancelled all classes for today.

Today, all across the Albuquerque Metro and around the State of New Mexico there are reports of high winds knocking down trees and causing major Havoc. From overturned trailers to uprooted trees these hurricane -force winds precede what the meteoroligists are describing as a winter storm.
I urge all Albuquerque and New Mexico Residents to exercise extreme caution when outside. It was a challenge driving home this evening. I witnessed one accident...a three-vehicle pile-up. Drive with extreme caution.

There are songs about this specie; books have been written about them, and the longtailed humming bird is considered the Jamaica National Bird.
