                Fort Myers Beach is a barrier island located in Southwest Florida along the Gulf Of Mexico.It has been our home for about nine years. It is located some 26 miles North of Naples and it has city limits with Both Fort Myers and Bonita Springs.                               It boast some 7 mile beach which is also the length of the island. With all the stress we all go through in our business, we all need to get away from the daily grind. Work can be exciting. These days, I have been showing a lot of homes in Cape Coral and Fort Myers and my clients are easy going and fun to work with, but taking a little break can be revitalizing.  As I have not been invited to participate in Dancing with the Stars this year, I have settled for photography as my outlet of choice. Just wondering along the streets of Fort Myers Beach. It actually has been of interest to me for many years.

Active Rain success story: buyers and your blogs - 08/24/08 09:23 AM
Two weeks ago as I was contacting a few clients one after the others I hit a wall. It didn't matter how positive the conversation was on the phone.I missed something. These are potential buyers who took the time to fill up their contact information either through AR or my personal web site. These days, and I don't blame them, they want either to work with an agent who has some experience with foreclosures and short sales or knows where the better deals are.

              We all have seen the small signs on the lawn: it shows pets with a bar over them with the words Warning!. As I commend the owners and the lawn care services to warn owners of pets.Lately I have been looking for pet friendly organic lawn fertilizers and care.  Lawn herbesides are the number one killer of pets in the USA and it makes me sad and mad to know that some owners in Fort Myers Beach do not try at least  to respect human life. Most do care.

Brief Weather Update from Southwest Florida (Fay) - 08/19/08 07:21 AM
I woke up this morning and the power is still on  A great sign.  It's past eight o'clock, and it's dark and raining, but the powers is still on.  Good going, Fay.
Fay came ashore at Cape Romano just south of Marco Island, about 55 miles south of Fort Myers Beach.  It never reached hurricane status.  Fay is expected to continue in a north-northeasterly direction throughout Tuesday, passing near Orlando, and entering the Atlantic as a tropical depression off Florida's northeastern coast early Wednesday.  So, goodbye, Faye, and thanks for the rain.

On August 19th 2008 The New Metropolitan Restaurant in Fort Myersis opening under new ownership and this one will be interesting to take a look at.This Opening is dear to me as the new owners: Chris and Ray have been my clients and friends for some time now and will take possession of the restaurant on Monday the 18th. They are from Belgium and in order to get a E-2 Visa they had to purchase a business. Last week I ordered a full inspection on a property in Fort Myers. Most often then not and specially on a financed home, the lender will require an inspection. Whilecalling a reputable company who can do a general inspection, termite, radon and mold all in one stop, I was told by that company that because the home is only 2 years old it will "probably" not need a mold inspection and advised me that my clients are better off just if the inspectors just do a visual mold inspection and only take a few samples only if its "warranted"!

Looks, charisma, the famous moustache and the uncanny ability to just win over and over, reversed the silly stereotype that Jewish men cannot be great athletes. Take that! I'm off this morning to show homes in Cape Coral.  This particular client is from the Mid-West and is anxious to find herself a short term vacation home/long term retirement home before she returns home this weekend.  What are this client's criteria:  A spacious home with a pool for approximately $200,000.  Happily, there are many houses for the client to view.  Some need a little work, others do not.  Some have water view. PGA Winner/Harrington and Golf Courses in Fort Myers - 08/10/08 09:45 PM
Great Golf Coursesin Fort Myers, Naples, too; not a shortage of golf courses in Southwest Florida.  I haven't played much lately with my business, and August isn't my favorite month for playing golf.  Just too hot, but in a few weeks . . . but watching some of the PGA tournament today was fun.
The winner was Padraig Harrington, an Irishman, his second Major this year.  He also won the British Open.  Sergio Garcia came close, but no cigar.  That first elusive Major win is still a work in progress for him.

For these investors and buyers in general making an offer in Lee County, Cape Coral, Fort Myers and The Beach on a short sale can be complex. Your Realtor, when pre-viewing and gathering information for these listings may be well advised to ask a few questions to the listing agent:

With a client coming in on Friday to see homes in Cape Coral, I previewed several houses today.  After I was through looking at six different houses, most nice looking homes in NW and SW Cape Coral with swimming pools at great prices, I decided to stop to eat.              Lately I have been working with a client who wants to purchase a newer pool home in Cape Coral. His range is mostly under $210,000 and with his wife they have been frantically searching for that great deal. The deals are here. Of course these are mostly short sales and foreclosures. They are coming pretty soon so like usual I check to make sure these homes are active and if they have any offers on them, before gathering info and data and pre-viewing them.

 Is Iraq better off now then without Saddam Hussein? Him and his 2 sons were nut jobs. No one can argue that, And there is no question that the answer is a strong yes. Iraq is better off.
