fort myers beach community: Places to eat, stay, boat and kick back in Fort Myers Beach - 08/31/09 12:46 AM
Heavenly Biscuit off Estero Blvd is always a fun lay back small restaurant to enjoy the local flavor of Fort Myers Beach. Its located just at the start of mango Street. I recommend its sticky buns, salmon, fruit and eggs brunch breakfast. Just a great place to mix it up with the local residents or enjoy the local paper and stay away from your lap top! Just a few steps away is the very recent Mango Street Inn.It offers cooking classes, wine tasting, is a green Inn and you may stay there one week, one day or one month. I

fort myers beach community: Bienvenue à Fort Myers Beach Floride les francophones! - 08/21/09 09:10 PM
Bienvenue à Fort Myers Beach Floride les francophones! (Version FRANCAISE le prochain chapitre) A great part of the attraction and charm of the island lays of course along its seven while sand beach but also along the numerous gulf canals which fingered the width of the island towards the back bay or Estero island. It is known as one of the safest beaches in Florida. The island goes from a modest 10,000 residents in the off season to around 30,000 in season. They then enjoy the many pubs, water holes, restaurants, hotels, Inns which are a large part of the economy of

fort myers beach community: Fort Myers Beach information: making a home larger without a permit - 08/02/09 11:24 PM
Welcome to Fort Myers Beach ingenuity! And its legal! Living room/dining room al fresco on the island of Fort Myers Beach. My fellow residents in Fort Myers Beach never cease to amaze me. If their home is not large enough, they will find a way to add a "room", even under their home. This one is special because you can dine with your family or friends and look at the gulf with your feet almost on the sand. Notice: this living room/dining room is bit more formal with the cubble stones for the flooring. Who knows? perhaps in a year

fort myers beach community: Wedding on the sand - 07/09/09 11:40 PM
That was fun to witness. They married on the beach. It was a simple wedding with flames and only the direct family and a few friends. My wife did the ceremony. I think it was their second for both of them. They seem to have that thing that clicks together. The wedding was smack on the sand of Fort Myers Beach. Just at sunset. The bride was tad late but they just caught the sun before it fell on the sea at the horizon. That was her special day. One could pay alarge sum to have a fancy wedding and such, but this one

fort myers beach community: Fort Myers Beach new Fertilizer Ordinance is greener - 07/07/09 11:29 PM
Surely its about time The City of Fort Myers Beach passed a Fertilizer Ordinance. When I talk to residents who have been on the island for over 20 years, they tell me that they used to swim in the back bay of Fort Myers Beach or Estero Bay. We can in some parts but not everywhere. We will again. With the popularity of lawns and the growth of boating all around Estero island, it is not surprising that the quality of our waters were affected, specially during the summer days when the rain falls precipitation is at its
