For over a decade, Fort Myers Beach Laguna Shores property owners have been trying to fix a major problem, a sand bar. It has been more and more of a struggle for boaters to navigate from Bucanneer along the South of Estero Bayto San Carlos Pass. Only small boats could reach the Back Bay or Estero Bay and the larger boats could only navigate around that bar during high tide and at high rick of being stranded.

As I was cruising along Estero island or Fort Myers Beach I saw a garage sell sign and it took me to a 2 hectares property which covers one whole block and ends up with its south side on a gulf access canal. It is indeed a Florida cracker house.These days we migth call them Beach cottage or Beach Bangalow. It has all the details of the pre-air conditioning architecture with the many windows, the board and batten structure, the slopped front roof which covers the front porch and of course the chimney. There are many factors which make a property a sound investment. The homes which I recommend are located in Fort Myers with Gulf Access canals. I look at different clues which make these stand out. My motto in this case is quite brutal: get the most for the less money. There are however other factors with which I make these recommendations.
Except for the property on Primo drive which I will mention in a next blog which is one of the lowest asking prices in Fort Myers Beach with a gulf access canal,the others may have similar priced homes in that square footage for example but they stand … (0 comments)

lIfe on the island with a rather silly entertaining Shrimp ParadeBut its a pretty big deal here and we are proud of it....they had people all along the 7 miles of the island.Of course it was also an excuse to forget about work and party a bit. Some had their chairs all set up all along Estero boulevard way before with drinks d food. Shrimps of course!!!!

fort myers beach news and event: Shrimp Festival is a bit different - 03/11/07 12:00 AM
The first time I went to that local Shrimp festival in Fort Myers Beach, I thought " how silly"..but then the festival since 1999 grew and grew and there are now over 20,000 strong watching this unusual parade. Of course the area is known for its shrimp and that day everything is about showing your face on a silly car or anything that moves and of course promotes your business, taste is not required and off the wall is the game.
