We all have seen the small signs on the lawn: it shows pets with a bar over them with the words Warning!. As I commend the owners and the lawn care services to warn owners of pets.Lately I have been looking for pet friendly organic lawn fertilizers and care. Lawn herbesides are the number one killer of pets in the USA and it makes me sad and mad to know that some owners in Fort Myers Beach do not try at least to respect human life. Most do care.

On August 19th 2008 The New Metropolitan Restaurant in Fort Myersis opening under new ownership and this one will be interesting to take a look at.This Opening is dear to me as the new owners: Chris and Ray have been my clients and friends for some time now and will take possession of the restaurant on Monday the 18th. They are from Belgium and in order to get a E-2 Visa they had to purchase a business. We looked at quite a few potential restaurants before coming across on this beauty. It was past due time. I have been living in Florida since 1990, have seen countless palms and still can name only a hand full.Well maybe a few more. I should care. After all I live in the "City of Palms" the nickname for Fort Myers. To be fair in the XIX century it was then known as "cow town" before Edison and Ford put it more on the map in the 1880's. Much nicer name. So I should know a few names of palm trees. I don't know that many and haven't lost any sleep over it, but lately I had an epiphany. … (3 comments)

In the last 5 years I have seen The Fort Myers Downtown Commercial District, also known as the Historic District and part of the newly called River District transformed into one of the great areas of South West Florida.
