home staging: OCCUPIED HOME STAGING SF East Bay ~ How to go from Ordinary to EXTRAORDINARY! - 03/27/12 12:26 PM
Fresno-Clovis home sellers listen up. This is what it takes to sell an occupied home today, especially those listed at 300K and above since they are the ones that are not moving as fast as the lower priced homes today. Your furnishings may be lovely, your home neat and clean, but so are many, many others with which you are competing. This excellent post written by a Bay Area home staging professional says it all. home staging: Home Staging Tips in Palm Beach County- Waiting to See How it Goes Before You Stage? Here are 6 Reasons Why You Shouldn't. - 01/27/12 04:00 PM
This post was so good I just had to re blog it. It is short and to the point about why sellers and realtors should not "wait and see" before staging a home. As home staging professionals we hear that all the time. It's both sad and frustrating to see homes sit on the market for months and months when a small investment in home staging would make them sell so much faster and at a better price. home staging: Oh What A Difference A Little Bling Makes. Part 2- Bedrooms, Selling By Design-Staging, Fresno CA. - 10/10/11 05:03 PM
Last week I posted pictures of a home that was staged by Selling By Design-Staging in which we used the owner's furniture and our accessories. This time I am showing the three bedrooms before and after staging. The master bedroom had only a large dresser and a painting. To save both time and money we opted to use the picture as a headboard. One of the colors in the painting matched the bedding beautifully. The owner had the lamp and table in another room so we made use of it in the large bedroom space. Ideally two matching nightstands

home staging: In Fresno CA An Entry Level Remodle Plus Home Staging = A Quick Sale! - 09/12/11 07:00 PM
In Fresno CA, as in all cities across the country, there are various degrees of quality in the investor remodels, or flipped homes. Real estate agents and home staging professionals have seen them all, from homes placed on the market by those who simply " put lipstick on a pig," in the effort to make a fast buck, to well done homes offered by serious, quality minded investors. Having had a bad experience with a "pig in lipstick" reno., Selling By Design-Staging was somewhat gun shy when an agent called and said she had an investor client who had two homes

home staging: How To Stretch Your Home Staging Inventory Budget In Fresno, CA - 08/31/11 08:51 PM
In the world of professional home staging we are always faced with the challenge of making homes look beautiful on very limited budgets in order to save our clients money. I have been asked a number of times where I get my staging inventory and how much I have to pay for it. I love a deal and I love to brag about where and how I got it. I know it's supposed to be tacky to talk about how much one paid for things, but in the interest of continuing education, here are a few of the pieces I have

home staging: There Are Just Some Things Over Which We Have No Control, BUT.................... - 08/30/11 06:38 PM
Let's face it. There are some things in life over which we have no control. In the business of real estate staging, or home staging, we see our clients up against 3 big obstacles when trying to sell their homes. A neighbor's ugly curb appeal. We've all seen it. Peeling paint, weeds, brown or no lawn, old cars everywhere, toys, and just plain junk. You'd ask them to clean it up, but who knows how they'd react? You might get shot! A neigbor's barking dog. The seller can have their pets off the premises during an open house or showing, only

home staging: Agents, I Need Your Opinions And Advice Regarding Home Staging Consultations - 07/13/11 06:46 PM
As a home staging professional I have worked with many hard working, enthusiastic real estate agents. We have collaborated our efforts to sell many a home. Some agents have been so convinced of the value of staging that they have even pitched in and gone above and beyond the call. One painted a room for a client and the other helped the homeowner, a widower, clean his kitchen. In both instances the work was grueling, but well worth the effort. One real estate agent told me that he liked having a home stager advise his clients so that he did not have

home staging: Reduce, Relinquish, Rearrange- Selling By Design-Staging's Remedy For The Winter Blahs - 01/05/11 07:40 PM
Did you know that professional home stagers can also be weight loss experts? Selling By Design-Staging has developed a plan to take the weight off your mind and shoulders that leads many into the winter blahs, a condition characterized by feeling trapped in a house that looks and feels more like a storage facility than a home, a sensation of being smothered by stuff, but overwhelmed by the thought of clearing and organizing it. The long awaited remedy to this condition is the mood elevating procedure of Re. Realize that you deserve to be revitalized. Refuse to be held captive any

home staging: The Glory Of Paint! Selling By Design-Staging, Fresno, CA - 08/12/10 12:59 AM
This is part two of my blog on the transformation by Selling By Design-Staging of an otherwise lovely vintage home in Fresno,CA, which was plagued by a scary paint job worthy of Dracula's castle. Originally a bedroom, used as a "media" room, it was a big turnoff to buyers. Enough said. Before Painting After Painting PS. The bed is a work in progress. More to come.

home staging: Amazing What Some Furniture And Some Paint Can Do. Selling By Design-Staging, Fresno, CA - 08/10/10 10:14 PM
It is amazing what furniture and paint can do to make a home more appealing. Selling By Design-Staging in Fresno, CA used furniture, accessories and paint to transform a vintage home from deserted and lonely looking to cozy and inviting. The home, built in 1938, resting on a street arched by mature trees, has four bedrooms and three baths. One of the bedrooms had been painted "eggplant" (looked black) and red to be used as a media room. It had a grim, haunted feel to it and was screaming for PAINT. The entire house begged to be staged.
