Temecula Rod Run Fall 2009 - 09/30/09 07:06 PM
On October 10, 2009 the streets of Old Town Temecula, will once again feel some "heavy metal thunder" as hundreds of classic cars from the '30s, '40s, '50s, '60s and even '70s (I really feel old when cars from the '70s are considered classics) will be on display. Thousands of car enthusiasts will be reliving some of those "glory days" as they check out these hot rods that they idolized as they grew up. Here's some photos of the Rod Run from February 2009. http://temecularodrun2009.shutterfly.com/

First Time Home Buyer Dream - Buy v Rent is much more than a financial decision - 09/30/09 12:41 PM
You have probably seen the many Buy vs Rent calculators available on the Internet, and you know what? Buy wins everytime, so the decision to buy or not buy has to be more than the financial or tax benefit. In the last "boom" thousands of families bought and sold Real Estate solely for the "investment value" and they lost. As a result there are many potential homebuyers who shy away from taking the step, because Real Estate "just isn't a good investment anymore". Home ownership is the cornerstone of the American Dream and there is no denying it may be the

Social Media gone wrong! - 09/24/09 04:38 PM
Today Jeff Dowler had a post about Social Media do's and don'ts. His number one do is: get face to face. In our little corner of the world, we have been scheduling "meet-ups" with Realtors, Lenders, Escrow and Title Reps. In the 80s the term was "synergy". These are very informal roundtable disucssions about success stories and failures in this new world of real estate and particularly social media. We had a meeting on Tuesday, September 22 and things started to get a little weird and we had to break-up early. Someone caught it on video: http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:cms:mvideo:cmt.com:40319 If you can't get

Temecula Valley Living - 09/24/09 04:27 PM
One of the benefits as a Temecula Valley homeowner is it's proximity to San Diego. We get all the benefits of "country living" but "America's Finest City" is less than an hour away. With San Diego you get it's fabulous beaches and harbors, and Temecula Valley residents get it without the traffic and foggy mornings. We recently had an opportunity to cruise San Diego harbor, courtesy of a family member (who we hold in much higher esteem now) and Ken Cohen of California Cruisin Yacht Charters. You can charter a private yacht for a tour of San Diego Harbor or stay

This post has absolutely nothing to do with Real Estate! - 09/23/09 12:00 PM
It has nothing to do with Temecula Homes for Sale. It has nothing to do with foreclosures, the pain and suffering of short sales, the mess that is HVCC, the changes to FHA, nothing to do with First Time Home Buyers. In short it's only for enjoyment. I came across this talent and was blown away! Enjoy! http://docs.google.com/present/edit?id=0Ac5e03d3Ux33ZGc5eGhycGdfNTJjbTZmNDJmag&hl=en

Strategic Default-just how big a problem? - 09/20/09 12:10 PM
A few weeks ago we had a lengthy discussion on the rapidly increasing occurrence of "strategic defaults". This may come as a shock, but despite our protests, people are still doing it. In record numbers, if the study done by Experian and one of it's consultants are accurate. Here's the link: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/linkset/2005/03/24/LI2005032400436.html (if you can't open this, the op-ed was written by Kenneth Harney of the Washington Post) Here are a couple high(low) lights: The number of strategic defaults in 2008 is estimated at 588,000 (more than 18% of serious delinquencies) In contrast with most types of mortgage delinquencies, strategic defaulters often
