I love listening to songs sang by Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Frank, Louis.... all the great Blues singers of the past. Give me a cigarette and a gin and tonic on the rocks and I will sing along all night (maybe not the cigarette, but I could hold it and look cool).

Here are some pictures of that white fluffy stuff also known as snow... we have been getting a lot of it this winter, but this was a dry, sparkly, powder that made for some great photo opportunities!! Northcrest is known for it's Mid-Century Modern Homes and "California" contemporaries. After the 3-4 inches we got last night I had to go snap some new shots of some signature homes in the 'hood.

After being listed with another agent for close to a year the seller of 3452 Archwood called me. Within 2 weeks of taking the listing I found him a buyer.

Atlanta has traditionally been known for it's brick Bungalows, English Tudors and Antebellum-style homes. Here in the city of trees a California contemporary is a rare find!
However, a couple miles north on I-85 and just off of Norhcrest Road there is a little architectural secret full of Mid-Century modern homes. Northcrest is a sprawling, multi-phase swim/tennis community with gentile swaying pine trees, fluorescent azaleas and vintage cars parked under shady carports. Inspired by the futuristic designs of Joseph Eichler, Northcrest was developed by Howard Hardrath and Walter Talley of P&H Company in the late 1950's through early 60's.

I know, you are thinking to yourself this agent has lost her mind, it's a "buyer's market!" Yes in general the main theme is still leaning towards a buyer's market, but in 2009 we saw a trend with multiple offers on Atlanta foreclosures and Bank Owned properties. Bidding wars can be confusing, especially when dealing with foreclosures. Listing agents representing the banks are sometimes less than attentive (to put it nicely). Cold hard cash offers from investors with no financing contingencies are beating out most would be homeowners who sometime make offers for full asking price!
