Noise Pollution from Talking Heads - 03/31/10 08:43 AM

Via Gene Wunderlich - Realtor®, Government Affairs Director (Southwest Riverside County Association of Realtors):
Lenn had a post a couple weeks back that got me thinking about talking heads. There's just too many of them. Who needs another one? Unless it's me? Which talking heads do you listen to?
I listen to the 95% who tell me what I want to hear. The other 5% are wrong-headed but I listen to them anyway to see what they’re up to.
Most of the time I just listen to the voices inside my head. They’re the most reliable source of good news – … (4 comments)

Where's The Outrage? - 03/31/10 08:41 AM

Via Steve Hoffacker - Real Estate Sales & Marketing Consulting and Strategies (Hoffacker Associates LLC):
People say that the health care bill was necessary because everyone needs to be insured. They don't like the present practice of uninsured people going to the emergency room for treatment and then having that cost passed along and amortized across the base of insured policyholders.
I have no problem with it - especially if the alternate is the utopian plan to insure everyone, which can't be done.
But what about all of the other inequities? Where is the outrage there?
I pay for schools and teachers … (5 comments)

If you are in the Real Estate Industry do you really support those in Power??? - 03/29/10 10:29 AM

Via Alice Linahan (Keller Williams):
If you are in the Real Estate Industry do you realize those who are in Power right now are destroying your livelihood and the real estate market.
One only has to look at the state of California to see how successful their policies have worked.
I encourage you to listen to this clip to see just what they are putting in the bills they do not want anyone to read before they shove them down the throats of the American people.

The Florida Senate Debate on Fox - 03/29/10 10:27 AM

Via Mike Frazier, Dyersburg Tn Real Estate (Carousel Realty of Dyer County):
I was able to watch most of the debate last night on Fox and quite frankly I thought Rubio thoroughly beat Crist. Crist acted like a typical politician attacking the character of Rubio. Marco kept countering those charges but also pointed out the differences in the two.
Marco Rubio is the true conservative between the two and would get my vote! Can I vote in that race since I bought a second home in Florida last year? If so, the choice for Senator is clear in my view. How about … (0 comments)

The Dinner Roll

Once upon a time I was invited to the White House for a private dinner with the President.  I am a respectedbusinessman, with a factory that produces memory chips for computers and portable electronics. There wassome talk that my industry was being scrutinized by the administration, but I paid it no mind. I live in a free country. There's nothing that the government can do to me if I haven't broken any laws.  My wealth was earned honestly and an invitation to dinner with an American President is … (2 comments)

Americans voted in to office the most liberal senator - the most pro abortion candidate.
Now everyone are wringing their hands and saying they can't believe what is happening to the country.
Barak Obama promised change - change all could believe in -
Now we see the radical change America is facing in just twelve short months -
Radical leftist socialistic agendas - taking our freedoms away -
Obama was right when he said elections have consequences -
Freedom has gone for many today - states have become a slave to the … (1 comments)

Now Accepting Applications For Congress - 03/23/10 08:03 AM

Via Steve Hoffacker - Real Estate Sales & Marketing Consulting and Strategies (Hoffacker Associates LLC):
Election Day 2010 is just 32 weeks away. While all 435 seats in the House are up for election, and it would be great to see all new faces so we can get a fresh start, the Republicans, and a few Democrats, currently in the House have distinguished themselves this past week as upholding the will of the people.
Most of them can serve another term if their Districts concur.
As for the Democrats, 219 need to go immediately. They have placed personal interests and agenda above … (1 comments)

The gap will get bigger - 03/22/10 07:59 AM
Every 4 years, right around election time, the libs like to remind us of how much bigger the gap between rich and poor in this country has become. They are usually able to drum up some professor type, supposedly an economics porfessor, who reports that, once again, the gap has widened, and may get worse.
Last night the gap was widened again by our Congress and soon our President. While the libs shout "Hooray" because all Americans are now covered by the new welfare style of healthcare, the gap that libs love to inform us all about, will grow.

Americans are incresingly feeling that their voice isn't being heard in Washington and that they aren't being represented. Wasn't this one of the charges against George III?
Three-fourths of Americans (75%) in a recent FoxNews poll feel that they are not being represented - as if we needed that survey to tell us this. All we have to do is reflect on our own experiences.

It's really starting to become an "us" versus "them" as Pelosi, Reid, and Obama are indifferent - even oppossed sometimes - to the will of the people.

As I watch the scene around Jim Bunning's actions to block the extension of funding for unemployment benefits, and Federal Highway projects, I cannot help but think of the difference between how government thinks versus how an American family must think.
The analogy that comes to mind is of parents in a traditional family when it comes to something as simple as the dinner meal.  The kids all want to eat right now because they're hungry, and after all there is plenty of "right now" food available.  There … (2 comments)

Don't Budge Republicans - 03/03/10 10:33 AM

So don't you dare participate, Republicans. This way it also will be easiser to repeal in January.
