Your money is our money

It is only 3%. No big deal man. Relax. 3% means nothing to you. You won't even notice it. We will give it someone who will notice it. It will be a big deal to them.

Hey, we are upping the 3% to 6%. It will be OK. You won't even notice it. It is no big deal to you. What would you do it anyways? There are better ways of spending it than your wasteful ideas.

I know that we said 6%, but the 6 ain't cutting it. We need more. The people who need it simply need more. Besides, you can handle it. It is not fair that you make lots of money. They don't make enough. Come on, be Patriotic, pay more taxes.

It is not really your money anyways. It belongs to all of us. Don't be so greedy. It is not cool man.

Oh, and by the way, we have to raise income taxes down a bit lower than we thought. Due to the fact that all of the high income earners are making less money, everyone is now making less money, and that means, we in the government are making less money. Don't worry though, you won't even notice the tax increases. Besides, we know what to do with your money better than you do.

Thanks.

Power base

That poor couple. They are barely making it. He works his rear end off at two jobs while she works during the day and goes to school at night. They live in a tiny apartment and own a old beat up car. They work at minimum wage jobs. They will never get anywhere and need our help. They will never achieve the American Dream. They are adored by the left.

Same couple after 10 years of hard work: She works at an executive job and he is a sales manager for a large firm. They make great money, have a great family, live in a huge house, and drive very nice cars. The same couple is now the enemy of the left.

They love us when we are down and hate us when we succeed. They dream up all kinds of government programs for us when we are struggling. They want to help us. They want government to be our parents. They like to tell us that we cant do it without them. They will give us free rent and these special stamps that can be used for food. They will even give us money every month so that we don't need to work.

They don't tell us that they do not want us to leave their nest. They want us to stay on all of their programs because it gives them power. Power to tell us what to do, and power to tell us how much we need them. Power to run the government and our country.

They love you when you are poor and struggling. But do not dare try to achieve success. You will be hated. You will take their power away.

Emotional IQ

All of the liberals are very proud of themselves. They voted for a black man. Some of them even talk of having tears in their eyes. They are so happy that a man from a race that was beat down and held down, has won their stamp of approval.

I truly hope that they did not vote for the guy simply because he was black. That would be racism. I hope that they did not vote for the guy because he was held down. That would be the sympathy vote. I really hope that they did not vote for him because of some type of guilt. That would be ridiculous.

I am a not black. I am not white. I do not vote for skin color. My IQ is a bit higher than that. My race has been held down. Some of my race have escaped the holding down thereof. No sympathy needed. My family 4 generations ago probably committed some type of crime against another, but I will not feel guilty for it, nor will I be held guilty by others. I was not even born yet. How stupid to be ruled by those emotions.

If the libs want to get all emotional, and sing Kumbya because a black man won, that is their right. But, the rest of us are not going to suddenly start thinking that wealth redistribution and the killing of babies in the womb are OK. Conservatives are not going to say "gee lets forget about the Consitution that has made the US the greatest country on Earth for 200 years because a lib won". We are not going to get all excited about fulfilling the lib version of Patriotism- paying higher taxes.

You libs can call us all sorts of names. Why not, you always do. You can get all teary eyed for your candidate. You can reminisce about FDR and LBJ. You can "tax us to hell and back". You can outlaw religion, take our guns, take our hard earned money, and our businesses. You can destroy the gas and coal industries like BO has pledged to do. You cannot take conservatism from us. And you know it.

You know it because our ideas are based upon grown up logical thinking. And you know that yours are based upon childish emotion. The type that makes you vote based on what color a person is.

My theory

My theory is this:

1. Round up every self-made millionaire in this country.

2. Force them to sell off everything that they own.

3. Take the cash and divide it up equally among those in poverty.

4. In 5 years, survey both groups.

I already know the results and so do most folks. I have seen it happen in my own life. The self-made will be self-made again. And wealthy. Those who got the money will be in poverty again. Except that they will own more expensive shoes, clothes, and electronics.

"The war on poverty" started by LBJ has not worked. It will not work because it gives people things that they did not work for. By the same token, taking from people who do work does nothing but make them mad and take away any incentive to do better.

As we go deeper into socialism to try and fix poverty, we will do nothing but go deeper into socialism. Hard work for the sake of hard work will not work. Hard work should equal a reward. There has to be a carrot on a stick to keep people motivated. If we let people work hard, only to have the carrot removed at the last minute, hard work will become a thing of the past. When there is no incentive for us to work hard, and no trappings of success, who will give money to those in poverty?

A big mistake has been made.

51% just voted themselves a handout

The results are in. 51% of Americans voted themselves a handout. At least they are hoping for a handout. The 51% are hoping that our new President taxes the "rich" business owners like he said that he would. All of those "wealthy" business owners that gross 250K from their businesses better look out.

So what kind of handouts is he going to give everyone? Is he going to pay our mortgages so we can sit on our asses and play computer games all day? Is he going to pay for able bodied young men to shack up with their "welfare mommas"? Are the producers of this country going to basically pay for those who refuse to work? I think it will be all of the above plus more. Lots more.

America has spoken. They have chosen security over the chance to get ahead. $18/hour, a living wage as they call it, will become the best that we can hope for. Sell yourself for $18 per hour and some good benefits. That way you can live a decent mediocre life and play computer games when you get home. That way you can party every night and not have to worry about anything. Yep, $18 per hour is very secure. I guess lofty goals are out with Americans now.

The reward for busting your rear has now been lowered. "Hey young person, if there was a chance that you could work 18 hours a day for 7 days a week, for 20 years and retire wealthy, would you take it? Or would you rather work 40 years at $18 per hour? Nice and safe, but no chance to ever really get ahead. Your choice." It looks like the secure thing just won out.

Cutting government

Obama says he is going to cut government. Many folks actually believe that he will. I do not, but for the sake of argument, I will entertain the idea. I am all in favor of massive cuts to government. I voted for George Bush because I thought he would cut government. The end result of his Presidency is that he did not.

I would like to see the Education, and Housing departments get cut. Every state in the US has the exact same departments that do the exact same thing as these two. I would like to see huge cuts in how our legislative branch both pays itself and uses our tax dollars for their own use. I would like to cut all farm subsidies, all federal welfare to both citizens and companies. I would like to see any money that goes to an illegal citizen be cut. I would like to cut all handouts to the UN at this time. I would like him to cut all money that goes to groups like ACORN, Planned Parenthood, and the NEA. I would like to see him cut these ASAP and then cut how much everyone pays in taxes and federal fees.

I have seen on AR posts where a lot of BO supporters think he will cut govt. Where do you think he will cut, and how much?

Work equals success

I am 46 years old. For 30 years, I have done one of 3 things: worked 2 jobs, gone to night school, or risked whatever money I had to start a business. During that time I have met lots of folks. They all wanted to get ahead, just like I did. Some of them did something about it and some did not.

Once, for 3 years, I worked 40 hours a week at one job, 2 nights a week at another, and went to school on Friday nights and all day Saturday. I worked with a whole lot of guys who said I was crazy for doing so. A lot of them would go out and get drunk while I was at school. As far as I know, they all still work at the same place.

I missed a lot of my kids early years because I worked at a second job. You know, nights and weekends. You name a type of business and I have worked in it.

More than once my wife and I have put all of our eggs into one basket. I mean everything. We have lost it all on more than one occassion. To recover meant working 2 jobs again.

I could have just went out and landed some govt type job. 8-5 during the week, with weekends off. Go out and borrow money to buy a cheap used car. Live in a small tract home with cheap furnishings. Be home every night and play every weekend. Watch lots of TV and party Saturday night. Look forward to a small retirement check. Get jealous everytime I see a guy driving a Porsche. Wonder how anyone could afford such a big house. Get mad everytime a bill comes in the mail. Hate anyone who is "rich".

The answer to being a success is written above. Hard work. Harder work. If anyone is out working you, work harder. Take chances beyond a savings account and a safe job. Spend every extra moment learning, achieving, or working.

Work beyond the ordinary will eventually bring success beyond the ordinary.

Why should all of us who have worked, scrimped, and busted our ass for a long time, have to pay for those who have not? I do not know the answer, but I do not want to find out either.

No Obama.

Take from the rich, or the middle class

If Mr. Barack wins the Presidency, and the Dems control both houses of Congress, we are going to be in trouble. Mr. Barack, along with Speaker Pelosi, are socialists, and believe that taxes should be raised. For those who do not know this, simply read what they have voted for and what they have written over the years. They will raise our taxes. For whomever believes that they will only force the rich to be "patriotic", just take a look at what President Clinton did with taxes when he promised only those making over a certain income would be raised. For those that do not know this, please read up on it before making comments.

Our new higher taxes will not just come in the form of payroll taxes. Oh, yes, you will get to pay more out of your paycheck, but it will be concealed better than in the past. FICA will be increased, and more than likely, some new FICA type columns will be added to your paycheck. FICA 1, FICA 2, FICA 3 may be just the start.

As always, there will be folks who think that when they get back money after filing their returns, that they are getting a bonus. The problem is that their "bonus" will be eaten up by hidden taxes. Look for new types of federal phone tax. gas tax, cable TV tax, alcohol tax, property tax, etc. These taxes will be in the shape of fees, and will be gradual.

The federal government will charge a tax on states, who will put a tax on counties, who will...you get the picture.

Take moment sometime and read the Consitution. Read what it says about the federal government taxing us. Oh, and remember this, Mr. Barack came out yesterday and stated that the US Constitution is a hindrance to where we need to be. Keep that in mind when you vote for change next week.

I have needs here

From each according to his ability. To each according to his needs. Something like that. Good old Karl Marx. A lazy sack of $%^ that did not like to work. Of course he came up with those words. He could not succeed at anything and was trying to convince anyone who had succeeded that they needed to give their earnings to people like him.

I have always wonderd, who gets to decide what our abilites are? Likewise, who decides what our needs are? I am good at swinging a hammer. So if I swing my hammer, I produce something. When I produce something, I get paid. When I get paid, I buy things. Is there a point when I have too much ability? If I, due to my too much ability, am able to produce more than I need (according to someone else), what happens to it? Should I hide my ability to produce too much? Would I not be better off if I just produced what I need, instead of working harder in order to produce for someone else?

If I need a Porsche and a 40' sport cruiser, are those valid needs? What if my house is only 6000 sq. ft.? I need more. I only have one masters degree. These are all needs as far as I am concerned. Do I get to voice my opinion with the "needs" committee or do they just tell me to take a number?

What about food? Can I grow my own? Is there a limit on how much I get to keep? Who do I give it to, or does the government just come and take it from me?

As you can see, I am a bit confused with how this is going to work. Maybe some of the Obama supporters out there could give me some inside information. How about it you Obama folks? I am sure you have thought this one through? Cut me some inside knowledge?

Who is your Daddy?

There ought to be a law. Or maybe a department within local government to deal with that. Even possibly a Cabinet level appointee to manage the whole thing.

How did we get here? When did we, as a nation, get to the point that government is our Dad. We want government to help us out of every jam. We expect government to give us things that folks used to pay for themselves.

We are starting to consider everything a right. I don't know how many times I have read that healthcare is a right. Why? Is having a car a right? Is a college degree a right? Is owning a house a right? Is owning a TV a right? Is owning a boat a right? Where do we stop?

To modern day liberals, we don't stop. Anything that a successful American has, is something that everyone should have. If I work a second job and save all of the money from it to buy a boat, that does not matter. What matters is that I have something that someone else does not have, and it is not fair.

Fairness is what modern day libs are after. And if their candidate wins, they just may get it. The problem is that fairness is not possible. The attempt to gain fairness is part of the reason that our government is considered our parent. "Mom, he has something that I want. You need to get it for me". "Mom, I want that and I don't have enough money. You need to give me some money".

My Dad died years ago, and I have not asked for a new one, especially not a government Dad. Maybe it is time as a nation to stop thinking of government as our Dad.

Free stuff for all of us

I have to admit that I am kind of getting excited about Obama winning. Really. Add to that the possibility that the Dems could win the House and the Senate. Things are looking good.

For all of you conservative types like me, just consider what these folks stand for and how it could benefit us. If you are like me, you are probably pretty darn tired of paying for your healthcare and your mortgage. These will both be water under the bridge with Obama and his friends. Forget about it.

The coolest part of this man's plan is I don't even have to work anymore. Someone else will pay for me to sleep in, watch TV, play on the computer, whatever. I'll probably start drinking a lot more since my responsibilities will be forgotten.

No more driving my kids to school or even worrying about feeding them. I'll sign up for the free bus rides and the free breakfast and lunch program at the governement school. Oh, I forgot about food stamps. No more having to spend my money for groceries. This is way cool.

I'm sure that somewhere down the road Obama will help with gas for my car. When the price of gas increases, I can just relax. My gas will be paid for.

There will be a whole lot more goodies once the man gets in office. He can't list them all now because a lot of uptight folks will get mad and say that he wants to take their money. I am starting to see the light though. Quit worrying about how much you will have to give, and just start seeing how much you can get.

Yep. I am quitting all work effective the day after Obama takes over.

How to not cut your budget

I have been working on this idea for a while, but I keep running into roadblocks. My business has been a bit off this year. The money is not coming in as fast as the last few years. I want to keep living at the same level as in years past, but it is getting harder. In actuality, I want to live even better, but darn the money. Working for a living is not cutting it so I am trying to figure out how I can start taxing people.

I got the idea from my state legislature as well as the US Congress. What you do is not worry how much things cost, or how much you spend. You just keep spending it, and when you need more, you simply increase the taxes on your constituents. When they ask why, you tell them they need to be happy to pay taxes, people are counting on you, it is good for the country, etc. If someone really wants answers, you explain to them that they must be in favor of starving kids or being cruel to minorities.

The basic premise here, and it would work great for me, is that you never ever even consider cutting your spending. Oh, once in a while you may elude to a possibility of a cut, but you never actually really mean it. You just want the taxpayers to think you may really do it someday. A bit tricky, but I could probably pull it off.

So, in a nutshell, I would never have to cut my spending, and I could keep living really well. I just need to figure out how I can start taxing people. Any ideas?

Working American here

I am a homebuilder. I build custom homes. I not only design them, but I manage the process, and finally, I actually build them. I swing a hammer for a living. There are times while I am building a home that I will swing a hammer from sunrise to sunset, and then go home and do all of the paperwork that comes with building a nice home. Weekends and holidays do not mean squat during the build phase. What matters is getting it done correctly, quickly, and on budget.

Building a home, while very exciting and fun to me, is also very dirty and nasty. Doing paperwork is boring, but also clean and warm. I could not get fat while actually building a home, but I could while managing it's build. I wear jeans and old shirts in one case, and nice clothes in the other case. Overall I make more money per hour on the management side, but I work more hours on the build side. Now to my point.

Am I a working American? What is the minimum amount of hours necessary to qualify? Is there a threshold of income that one cannot exceed to be considered a working American? Does one have to get dirty to fit in or is sitting at a desk OK? Can one be self-employed or is that an exemption?

I keep hearing the Democratic Candidate for President use the term "working American" and I am just not sure what he is talking about. Somehow I get the feeling that even though I work way more hours than someone at a 40 hour a week job, I make too much money to be a working American.
Tailgate club

You have your favorite team. You have a whole bunch of fans who show up for every game. You all love to tailgate. Party time. Someone comes up with an idea to elect a tailgate club president. Everyone else decides it is a good idea. Who to elect?

First of all, get someone who will not wear the team colors. Pick the guy who is embarrassed by your teams colors and mascot. Anyone who is willing to wear the team jacket, shirt, or hat is out.

Next, make sure the fan club president has a wife (or a husband if the new leader is a woman), who has never been proud of your team. Make sure that they have vocalized this type of statement.

Third, try to find someone in your group who hangs out with fans from other teams who have purposely caused trouble at your tailgating functions. Kind of like a tailgate terrorist if you will.

Finally, make sure that the new president is into beer and food redistribution. In other words, someone who feels that the guys with all the beer should bring more of it, and expect to share it with everyone. Those who don't bring beer should not be ashamed, but should hold their head up, and willingly take from those who do. But, do not expect the president to share his (or hers).

Hopefully these tips will help. I have heard that some groups use these criteria in all matters of leadership. Results may vary.

Good morning comrades

Wait a minute. Something is not right. Last week when Congress failed to pass the bailout, the stock market rallied. Now, when the bailout has passed, our stock market has dropped below 10,000 points for the first time since 2004. What is going on?

Wachovia Bank just got bought out by Citibank for 2.2 billion dollars. Sound like a nice price tag. Didn't Wells Fargo offer 15.1 billion for Wachovia? Somehow they got cut out of the deal. Is this the free market?

Congress had it's IT folks put a limit on how much email our lawmakers could get. This was in response to the enormous amount of email they started recieving when Congress started talking about another bailout package last week.

I think we should change the name of Congress to the Central Committee. What country do we live in?

Positive attitude

Monday, 5 a.m. The alarm goes off. Darn. Another day at the old grind. Damn. The boss is always in a bad mood on Monday. What the hell. There has got to be a better way. Work sucks. I might call in sick.

Monday, 4:30 a.m. You wake up. At 5 a.m. the alarm goes off. You are already up, showered, and working on your second cup. What a life. You are going to kick some rear end today. Oh yeah!

Why is it that some folks go through life like the first example while others live everything like the second example. As an eternal optimist and very happy person, I have gone through all of my life just knowing that no matter how bad things get, I will come out even better than before. No matter what the challenge, I can do it.

I have known plenty of people who live their life just trying to get by. They never really give anything a 110% effort. They attack nothing with zeal. They set no goals and achieve basically nothing. Why? What is the difference? Any ideas?

One more little thing

Dear Congress,

Thank you very much for bailing out the financial sector of our country. It is most needed especially by all of those folks who just can't seem to live whithin their means. Now, all of the people who never really saved any money in order to put a down on a home can stop worrying about their mortgage. Now, all of the people who should be renters, but instead, have their name on a deed, can rest assured that someone else will be helping them.

Further more, all of the top brass of fannie and freddie, along with their co-conspirators in the Congress, can keep all of the money that they illegally pilfered along the way. Now, their seems to be no worries of an investigation, so that they can just do the same thing again. It should work out pretty well.

Oh, one more thing. I employ 15 people full time. All of them are responsible for keeping their homes and families afloat in this catastophe. We are not a huge company, but a company all the same. In our small town, the thought of 15 people and their families losing a source of income would be a big deal. I hit a few snags last year with the home building slowdown, and I have a simple question: Is their any way that you could buy out all of the bad debt that is owed to me. It is about $400K. Not a lot to you guys, but quite a bit around here. I am sure that I could work my rear end off and get it paid off sooner or later, but it sure would be easier if you would take care of me. It seems that the American taxpayers probably don't mind either. Besides, you could get some real neat PR photos out of adding on my little stuff to your bill.

Your constituent and loyal subject,

Kevin

PS- If you guys need any more money from me, don't hesitate to ask. I know that what I earn actually belongs to you anyways. Thanks for what you do let me keep.

Liberals

Liberals are in favor of killing babies before they are born. Liberals think it is normal for 2 gay men to raise a child. Liberals think the rich in this country should support all of the rest of us. Liberals want to raise taxes. Liberals do not want creation taught, even as a theory. Liberals do not want murderers to be punished by death. Liberals want to talk to our enemies and try to find some common ground. Liberals still think socialism will work. Liberals don't like it when religious folks "force" their beliefs on them, but it is OK when liberals force their lack of morals on anyone else. Liberals think everyone else should carpool. Liberals think everyone else should save energy. Liberals do not want any dissenting viewpoints heard. Liberals do not want you to be able to own a gun for self- defense. Liberals think that any soldier that has died giving freedom to another person has wasted their life. Liberals will call you names if you disagree with them. Liberals consider it hate speech if you do not agree with them. Liberals will tell you they are patriotic, but will not fly a flag. Liberals will call you a flag waver if you fly one. Liberals claim they support the members of the armed forces, but they believe they are all fools who have no other choice but to join the military. Liberals don't like people who go to church. Liberals look down on people who don't have a college degree and work at a white collar job. Liberals think that the average person can't do it on their own, and thus, need help from liberals. Liberals think the founding fathers were not great. Liberals do not consider the USA a great country.

Liberals would like to enforce their beliefs at gunpoint.

How to be successful in America

What is the easiest way to own a successful small business in America?

Start out with a successful large business.

Pay for a business license, pay for liability insurance, pay for workers comp insurance, pay for a professional license, pay for a resellers permit, get a tax ID, get a ...

If your business does well, plan on hiring a very good accountant to help you navigate the complex tax system. Make sure and keep every scrap of paper that ever touches your premises. You will need them all. Don't forget to hang all of the various posters that tell your employees about all of their rights. Make sure and retain a good attorney to write up your employment contracts, any lease contracts, your sales contracts, etc.

If you are not sure what you can and can't say or do in your own workplace, make sure and spend loads of money attending all of the seminars that will teach you how to safely talk to your employees and customers, as well as how to make sure your products don't violate any laws.

Work from sunup to sundown to get your business running well. Plan on being in the office every weekend and night. Plan on missing most of your family parties, get togethers, and your kids school plays. (Don't worry though, your employees will be able to attend their family stuff).

And when you finally make a few big bucks, you will get to give it to the government so that they can give it to the people who don't like to work or don't really want to work as hard as you. And if the government does not take your money, you will get sued and lose it anyways.

How much of the above BS has been set in place by liberals?

If you want more of it, vote for Marx's favorite candidate: Mr. Present himself, Obama.

Previous experience

Remember your first resume? Kind of like your first credit application. You could not quite fill in all of the blanks. Your job as a paperboy or a babysitter was all you could list. You had a high school diploma and were working on your college degree. You could get a reference from your coaches and maybe a few neighbors. You could enclose a copy of your good grades if they wanted to see them. Close, but not quite.

You really wanted the job, but you just did not have the proper qualifications or experience. You really thought that you should get the job, but could not give any real hard information as to why you should be hired. So you just filled in the blanks with what you had. If only you would have thought of this one:

Community organizer!

I want that!

Go stand in front of a magazine rack. Take a look at all of the covers. You don't have a face or a body like those. You do not own a car like that. Your old fishing boat can't compare to that one. You need to change your diet and exercise program to match that one. The pictures that you took on your last vacation certainly are not like the ones on the photo magazines. You don't own one of those, or those, or one of those. On and on.

Looking at all of the glossy beautiful mag covers make me feel kind of wanting. I want that and I want that and... You get the point. It is easy become transfixed with the notion that a person does not own enough stuff. Or more to the point, the right stuff. And even if you do own some of the type of stuff, yours is too old. You need new stuff.

In our country, we like to buy stuff. No problem there. That is what keeps our economy cooking along. The problem is that we like to buy stuff on credit. Why pay now when we can pay later. Put it on the charge card. Charge it. Charge. We can buy all kinds of goodies and not even worry how much they cost. Who cares how much. I'll take care of it later. Do I still have money on my card? Can I get my limit raised? No problem.

Big problem. Our country is in debt. How much? Depending on who you ask, the numbers vary, but the results are the same. Americans are in deep doodoo with their credit cards. We buy what we see and what we want, when we see and want it. No waiting until we have the cash or even working harder to get it. Just buy it now.

Our lack of saving in this country is laughable, or scary. Some folks in their 40's and 50's have no savings. But they keep on buying with that plastic. They look well off but their monthly debt payment is huge. When will they stop usng credit? More importantly, when will they start saving?

Last year. China bailed out Citibank. We couldn't even bail out our own company. This will happen again and again if Americans do not stop using credit cards for every darn thing they see. We must start saving in this country.

Remember

Today I got up early in order to put my flag up. At our house, we fly our flag on a 30 foot pole every day of the year. On some Idaho winter days, getting that thing up the pole is the last thing that I want to do. But I do it because of what it represents. People have given their lives so I can have the honor to fly the US flag at my home.

This morning I had a very hard time getting the flag up the pole. The weather was not the problem. I took the flag to the top of the pole and then back down to half staff. My son came out and asked why I had tears in my eyes. I told him it was 9-11. Say no more.

Our flag flies for all of those who lost their lives on 9-11. May we always remember.

Radical

We don't watch TV in our home. We gave it up years ago in favor of something a bit more productive. We did watch the Olympics and maybe we will catch some debate stuff, but not much more. We do however watch movies on our DVD player once or twice a week. That way I can remember how to use a remote control properly.

Last month, while watching a movie, I heard something that struck me as interesting. The character in the movie was watching Jeopardy. The movie was set in the 60's so it was a 60's version of Jeopardy and it was the real deal. Probably bought from the producers just for this movie. In this Jeopardy edition, the clue was "political left". The answer was "what is a radical?".

A radical. The contestant got it in about 2 seconds. Left equals radical. How obvious. Nowadays we assign lefties names like progressive, liberal, forward thinking, etc. What happened to radical? I think it is more befitting of the group.

What a difference

Palm tree lined road. No potholes. Warm day with the sun on us. Driving a nice convertible. Wearing nice clothes and a nice watch. Feeling good. All of our hard work has paid off. All of the years of working 7 days a week from sunup to sundown. All of the years of putting the customer first. All of the years of answering the phone on Saturday night, while in the middle of some family party. All of the years spent in class, learning more, in the office, making cold calls. All of the years spent learning about investing and then actually scrimping by in order to make some investments. All of the years trying to work harder and smarter than the next person. It is all paying off now.

Dirt road. Loads of potholes and bumps. Cloudy day with a chilling breeze. Driving an older model car that needs work. Clothes that could stand to be replaced. Not feeling so good. The exact same scenario as above as far as the hard work and late hours. Only one thing has changed: A socialist President and socialist Congress have been in power for a few years. They take from the hard workers and give to the non-workers.

Vote Republican every chance you get.

Idaho is a great state.

Idaho:

Steak knives get used almost every night of the week.

There are very few abortion clinics.

Fish is actually caught to be eaten.

SUV's and trucks are the vehicle of choice.

Idaho air is some of the cleanest in the USA.

We still say "USA number one".

Environmentalist wackos are referred to as "granolas".

1 out of every 10 people is a democrat.

Our colleges and universities have rodeo teams.

When people join the military it is because they want to kick some tail in the Middle East.

We can burn yard clippings in our yards year around.

Almost every home flies a flag.

Going to church is considered normal.

Folks consider themselves honorary members of the South.

We know that dairies smell bad, but they are the smell of food.

People that break the law are actually punished.

Telling the truth is the only way.

Marriage means one man and one woman. Nothing else.

Schools are expected to teach children the 3 R's, not recycling.

Hunting is what every family does in the fall.

Military jets flying over are the sound of freedom.
