What a great year this has been so far. Meeting new people and getting new ideas. I attended RE Bar Camp LA and RE Bar Camp Phoenix.

At REBCLA I was havin discussion with Reggie Nicolay and Dustin Luther about Facebook and it's new possibilities with the layout for Pages.

During that conversation we wondered:

What would be the ultimate application for a Real Estate Agent to have on their Facebook Page?

So, you have created your own Facebook page(s) and now you want to spice it up? You can add features, add applications, provide information, show off what your listings.

Have you thought about having your own custom home search application?

I bet you have thought about it and either found it not available or proven to be to confusing to create the application inside of Facebook. There are applications out there where you can add your listings to your FB profile and or page but they seem to be cumbersome and not really useful.

It is now possible to get your own Custom IDX built into a Facebook application and added to your page.

Home Search Facebook Application Example

How do you get your own?

This application is custom built for each individual agent. The only requirement is that you already have your own custom IDX solution that has an embeddable link. Most likely everyone reading this post has their own IDX solution so you are good to go. There is a possibility that your IDX will not work depending on how your IDX is setup.

One thing I have noticed is that Vista does not have a quick and easy way to resize a picture like you can when using the Image Resizer Power Toy for Windows XP.

Since Microsoft has not released a a similar Power Toy for Vista yet I went looking for a replacement and I have found an acceptable solution.

Last week was the California Association of REALTORS Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA. If you were there and I missed you I am sorry I did and we will have to meetup at N.A.R. Expo in Vegas.

Over the next few days I will cover some of the interesting things that caught my eye at the expo.

Stay Tuned. Here are a few pictures of the people I met.

I am posting these the day after I post them on My Blog -> Future of Real Estate Technology

If you haven't heard the iPhone goes on sale this friday. Many of you know that I flip/flop on my opinion of this phone, but that is not the point of this post.

I want to know if there is anyone in Orange County, CA who is going to stand in line for this phone. If you are, I want to meet you in line and hang out with you and interview you on your first impressions of the phone.

Anybody?
