laurel ms short sale: Is commission worth it when you don't have a clue? - 02/23/12 10:58 AM
I have never understood why an agent would accept a task they are not capable of doing just to get a commission. If you were not knowledgeable about commercial contracts would you sell commercial property? Would you take a short sale listing if you had never completed one nor had you had one ounce of education in short sales? I would like to think NOT but that is not what is happening. I have spent thousands of dollars learning the short sale process and have become a CDPE among other designations through the short sale education process to be as knowledgeable (2 comments)
laurel ms short sale: Proud of what I do! Short Sales - 02/16/12 01:00 PM
I am proud to be able to help homeowners in distress. I have recently had other real estate agents "knock" me for doing short sales and being classsified as an "expert" in this field. I take great pride in being able to help homeowners not just make a sell but to get them out of a stressful situation. All real estate agents with knowledge of the business can make their way through a sale but not all real estate agents can successfully complete a short sale. You as the homeonwer, definitely want an agent with experience and education to back them (1 comments)

laurel ms short sale: Will 2012 Be The Year to Rebound? - 11/14/11 11:45 PM
2012 Real Estate Predictions | 2012 Short Sale Guidelines November 11, 2011 · Leave a Comment As we round the bend into 2012 the question on every REALTORS mind is….”What will 2012 be like for home sales“.
Simple answer, more of the same..just a lot more so. Like it or not, we are in this corrective housing cycle for at least another 3-5 years (depending on your market). Across the US we are now seeing clear evidence that the foreclosure ‘crisis’ is spreading. Foreclosures are no longer just a ‘sand state’ challenge. According to Rick Sharga, “The ‘inflection point’ of REO sales that (5 comments)

laurel ms short sale: Love What I Do - 10/25/11 10:53 PM
I truly love working in the real estate industry. Being able to help someone avoid foreclosure in this economy is a Godsend for them and I am glad that I took the time to educate myself on this process. Many agents don't want to go above and beyond what is required of them to do something for others becuase it requires much more work to get the same end result - a paycheck! I personally enjoy working these because it is very rewarding to know I have done more than just sell a home. i helped a single mom avoid (2 comments)
