I am fortunate to have a lovely backyard replete with wildlife.  And our wildlife is well fed. . . Nuts and seeds are popular, but a favorite are the whole corn cobs full of dry corn.  We buy them buy the bag and scatter them about to the delight of the many squirrels who live in the area.

July has come to an end, and I took a bit of time this morning to compile a market report for Joliet, IL.  So what is the state of the market in this town made famous by Jake and Elwood?  Well, lets start with the numbers. 
Detached Single Family Homes:                   Current Active Listings : 1023      Average Market Time:  127 days                   Closings in July 07 : 97              Average Market Time:   81 days
So what do these numbers mean?  Let me offer a quick translation. . .if sales continue at the same pace, we currently have 10.5 months worth of inventory on the market.  … (0 comments)
